    Re: Skyrim

    My little Skyrim,
I used to wonder what friendship could be
    My little Skyrim,
Until i took an arrow in the knee
    No more adventures
    Criminal scum
    A beautiful necklace
    Armor heavy and strong
    Sharing mead
    Is an easy feat
And Magicka makes it all complete
    My Little Skyrim
Do you know you're all my very best companions
How to start an argument online:
    Step 1) Express an opinion
    Step 2) Wait....

Morrowind's combat system makes me want to choke a baby.

Point is, I know Morrowind is great, but seriously. Come on.
If you don't care about story or lore, then perhaps RPG's are the wrong genre for you.

I always lol at "if I wanted a story, I'd read a book" comments because... If I want a story, I play a good RPG lmao
Besides, the combat in Skyrim is hardly any more engaging than Morrowind or Oblivion. If you're playing this game for the combat you're probably doing it wrong, try reading the quest text next time.

What's the big difference between "cast my one spell that kills everyone" in Morrowind vs. "swing my dagger that always does 30x damage and oneshots anything" in Skyrim?
Combat in every Elder Scrolls game thusfar has been shallow as hell, I don't care.

Unless you crank up the difficulty, then it's a scary game of hit and run. And Skyrim has no Speed stat. Crap.

I'm playing on Master. Still 1-shot anything besides like an Ancient Dragon, which (god fobid) I have to hit twice to kill
Been that way since Sneak hit 100, the final Sneak perk is so retardedly broken if you have a good dagger.

I usually don't use that strategy just because it's so lame, but honestly combat in Skyrim is not why I play the game lmfao

Anyway at the moment I am 100 hours into the game, finished Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood questlines, almost done with the College of Winterhold and Main Questline.
I'll be doing Companions after that and finishing up all the random Daedric quests and stuff.
Saving the Civil War quests for last (which is kinda sad because I can't get the best house until I start them but whatever)

I've only run into two glitches so far-
End of the Thieves Guild questline is a little glitchy for me. Apparently this is because I finished the main quests before finishing the side jobs to gain influence.
Brynjolf only says "I'm busy now lad" to me instead of the dialogue he's supposed to have, and Karliah is not in Nightingale Hall- she's standing in the random Nordic ruin where she first shot you with an arrow for some reason, though she has the dialogue as if she were in Nightingale Hall. I've tried fixing this with console commands but the suggested fixes aren't working for me :/

And Shadowmere randomly fell through the earth when tanking a dragon for me and died outside the level geometry. Debating bringing him back with console commands because that's seriously lame and I miss having a badass horse lol

              Help!

My friend just bought the retail version of Skyrim after playing the pirated version for a few months.

He is able to play fine in 3rd person - but whenever he switches to 1st person, the graphics become jittery and choppy. Help!

He's using a Macbook Pro I think - and it is able to run Skyrim fine in normal graphics. It's just that 1st person view makes the entire game laggy as hell.

                  Try reinstalling the whole game.

Has anyone else stumbled upon this yet?

Essentially the developers were given one week to go crazy and add ANYTHING that they wanted to the Skyrim engine. This is the result.

This should really be released as DLC of some sort.

Yeah, it would be nice if they release these separately as mods or something. A good deal of this looks pretty good, especially the dungeon enhancements. It would really take the repetitiveness out of Skyrim dungeons.

A quick heads up from Bethesda PR and marketing vice president Pete Hines suggests that we might be getting our first sniff of the official DLC pack for Skyrim soon. He's currently "working on getting a little more info out" for next week, but it's not a sure thing. "We'll see," he says.Last year game director Todd Howard said that Skyrim DLC would be "more substantial" with an "expansion

                              Great Revival.

Anyhoo *sigh* got this for ps3...First file I had, I somehow got stuck between the beginning and end of Dustman's Crypt. No, I can't just go to the end and go through that small tunnel, because the door's locked. Do I have lockpicks? No.
The beginning is caved in. So I abandoned that file.

Second game, it was find and dandy until I somehow became a vampire. Found out I could just go to a bar and ask the dude there about rumors until I'm set to find a cure...but I found out too late and now when I fast travel somehow, I'm automatically a vampire. So, I'm planning to abandon this one.

                              This is ridiculous.

I had this same issue. I decided to just make myself invincible for a little bit in order to complete that quest. Being a vampire really sucks when the whole town auto attacks you from 1000 miles away.
