Nobody mentioned anything about sales. The CoD fanbase is way too huge, not to mention that BF3 caters to the PC far more than the console.

I know nobody mentioned it, I was just saying it before someone else did. I like CoD, but I honestly don't understand why the fanbase is so big. I'm more of a Halo player I guess...

It's not. Every 14 year old will get their mother to buy MW3 for them. Battlefield, like said above, is more catered to PC gamers, although I will be buying it on Xbox.

EDIT: To be honest, I think Battlefield is a much more intense and pleasing experience. I played CoD since 2 and up until MW2. That's when I discovered Battlefield. I haven't gone back since.

Not a chance. But COD is losing its luster. Black ops was way more hype than it was worth and MW3, well after the IW catastrophe things are just really bleh.

I don't think MW3 will outsell Black Ops opening night, but it will outsell BF overall, in every department.

I've never seen some of the recent updates of MW3

Two weeks ago Call of Duty XP had a presentation about all the new features. You can watch the whole thing on CALLOFDUTY's youtube channel, or we can quit comparing Battlefield 3 and talk about these features.

No offense to BF3 fans, just not the idea behind this thread. I wouldn't mind playing it for vehicles and destructive environments, but it doesn't deliver the infantry scale warfare that I enjoy from Call of Duty.

I heard CoD XP was the second most viewed media event of all time. Just behind the Royal Wedding...

Honestly MW3 does look a lot better and a lot more fun than any other CoD I've seen. I'm pretty excited.

Eh, you're right. BF3 doesn't have Marathon pro and knives that make you lunge 10 feet.

Of course IW loves to put abusable bullshit in their games, which I despise. However, the only perks that definitely help your survivability are Juggernaut, Ghost, and Flak Jacket; otherwise you can be killed just as easily as everyone else.

As for lunging 10 feet, they're pulling Commando from MW3, along with One Man Army and Last Stand. Juggernaut is indeed still on the list, but it's unlocked at 10 kills, therefore you only get it if you earn it.

I still need to look into what the actual perk list is.

I still prefer the larger maps of BF. The smaller maps of CoD seem to get old quickly and lose their luster after a few plays, especially since the environment isn't destructive. Guy camping in a building? Blow a whole through the wall and shoot him in the back of the head.

MW3 has already broken a record number of pre-orders. BF3 has broken like 1.2 Million. IMO, Gears 3 is going to be better than bother of them Multiplayer wise. As for campaign modern warfare three is going to have a BADASS campaign.

I never really got into Gears. Just not my style of game. I was much better at Halo and I have also been playing Halo and Call of Duty for most of my life.

How can anyone say this game looks bad?

BF3 - More of a teamplay objective based game, you have to work together to take vehicles out, capture points blah blah.

Call of Duty - Faster paced, more gametypes, more customization, more fun IMO.


But, to each his own six of one half a dozen the other. BF3 does have great graphics, but the servers are horrid compared to Crysis 2. I think C2 IS one of the most underated games of all time. Crytek did a killer job with that game and they need more recognition. Also, I'm more of a competitive player so I enjoy call of duty more.

On topic, I'm excited about the survival mode. Shit looks better than zombies.
