    Dragon Nest

    Open Beta Begins July 26th!
    Details available at http://dragonnest.nexon.net/!
Can't wait? Take a look at the Dragon Nest SEA closed beta, which starts July 13th at http://dn.cherrycredits.com.

This is one I'm really, REALLY excited about.

    Nexon's Dragon Nest is finally in Closed Beta after about a year's wait from the announcement of the game's existence. The only downside to this is the timing... Eden Eternal open beta is starting as I type this, so I need to find time to grind on both games... oh boy. ^_^;;

Anyway, just making this thread to see if anyone else is playing. CB will last from now until June 20th, but if you haven't already signed up, don't bother, registrations are already closed. (I signed up back in March, like a bauss.)

I've played the Korean version for about 6 months - watch as it gets overrun with chinese priest farmers that lag up the entire server with hordes of 15-20 man priest parties..

        Re: Dragon Nest

I've been interested in this game for a long time, and as of such I applied for Closed Beta as well. I got in, so I've been playing, of course. I'm rolling with a Cleric right now, and already I'm enjoying hitting things with a flail and smiting my enemies with lightning and whatnot. Should be also interesting once I reach the second classes, though I don't know if I should go with a Priest (lol, MapleStory) or a Paladin. I'm sorta leaning towards Paladin as it seems they're the ultimate survivalists.

If you're interested in adding me in-game you know the name. Seriously, guess.

          My IGN is Zurenriri, lv3.

Honestly I'm disappointed so far. It's basically an E10-rated version of Vindictus. The game couldn't hold my attention for 2 hours and it's so laggy. I think I'll let this one go and focus on Eden Eternal.

            Re: Dragon Nest

Mmm, Dragon Nest actually plays fine for me, and that's saying something considering my computer's getting old and is showing these signs by providing me with random frame dips in the various games I've been playing. I've actually been enjoying myself, and I like the Cleric class overall.

I'm crossed between Priest and Paladin still though. I'm gonna lean towards Paladin me thinks though, because bringing down a big ass mofo relic and a giant hammer to deal damage MP-wise seems very amusing to me. I guess in a way I'm suggesting at least try the other classes to see if you'd prefer the gameplay of another class. Once again, just sayin'.

just make sure you don't get called out as a hacker when OB starts because priests are farming characters that go around in bunches.. :C

I've heard about that, and yet I will proceed to ignore it much like I do with any other badmouthing I tend to get while playing an online game, especially a F2P one. Though, at this point I'm deciding on a Paladin (mainly for flail preference, but also for the skills and whatnot) so I don't think I'll have to worry about being called a hacker anytime soon unless I decide to go Priest.

(Which, I won't lie, Priest is VERY tempting. Maybe I'll have two Clerics for that...)

EDIT: Played the Warrior class and am now regretting it, but not in a bad way. I regret playing the Warrior class because I am now cross between being a Cleric and a Warrior because the axe gameplay with the Warrior is pretty fun.

gameplay only got fun for me when i could do extensive combos (lv30+) and PvP

                    example: sibladeko's old archer 1hko kickshot&airwalk combo

                      Re: Dragon Nest

Hit the CBT level cap (16, derp) today on my Cleric. Will try to do the same on my Warrior as well, gonna have him be a Mercenary (class path for axe/hammer users I believe) since I have a preference to axes Warrior-wise (spin attack spamming is amusing). Cleric will be a Paladin since I prefer flails (and those Paladin spells that involve crushing enemies with giant magical hammers and a big ass relic and whatnot). Will probably make a Priest as well and name him GoldFarmer just to spite people.

Out of curiosity, has anyone else hit the CBT level cap yet?

Lmfao, it's 16? I'm only 9 atm but I quit playing in favor of moar nolifing on Eden Eternal.

                          You and your Eden Eternal.

Anyways, I believe the cap is 16 since one of the requirements to get the special CBT-only "Dragon Nest Pioneer" title is to have at least one character with a level of 16. And it also makes sense for the most part if Nexon's intent was to keep players in a controlled area (and to keep them from accessing Saint's Heaven among other areas of the game, including functions like farming, cooking, fishing, etc.).

(I should give Eden Eternal a better shot; in like the first five seconds of gameplay I got bored of it and logged off. SHOULD GIVE GAMES BETTER SHOTS I SHOULD.)

EDIT: Welp, the CBT is now over. I am disappoint. Can't wait for the OBT.

Anyways, the next beta phase is going to be an Open Beta so anyone and everyone will be able to play, and the beta phase will begin on July 26th. I am personally very excited; can't wait!
