I love how triple battles will pretty much come down to spamming one sided full team attacks like blizzard or ganging up on a single one to guarantee the KO. Nothing says lulz more than taking out a full team of ice weak dragons because people think they are actually strong when all it would take is 2 rounds of blizzard to end the match.

I actually did that for leaf green and did everything in the game in a matter of days. Then I realized if I didn't cheat I might have enjoyed the game for months. Of course you can get everything, but it makes the game boring a lot quicker because you didn't work for everything you know? I literally hated playing leaf green after that, there was nothing to do or work towards. I'll never use action replay again. If I'm going to buy a game, I want the replay value to be high.

I remember using AR for Pearl just because I'd wanted to go through walls and such. To be honest, looking back at that, it kinda wrecked my playing experience.

Well there'll be the older Pokémon every so often, but I'm only going to focus on catching the newer ones until I beat the Elite Four when I can swap everything over, work on the last few Gen I-IV evolutions I need to do, as well as train all of my Gen V guys to fill up my Pokédex again. I'm still expecting that to take up hundreds of hours just as Platinum has.

i don't do it to cheat per se, i just do it so i don't have to grind 10 hours to get "dat 1 specially pokemanz"
also I use it for the event pokemon I missed out on..

                1. If you have no time to grind, you are no longer having fun (that's the entire point of RPG's)
                2. If you missed out on an event Pokémon, instead of using an AR to get it, you beg others that have it to give it to you.
                3. You spend too much time grinding.

                EDIT: Emphasis on number 3.

                  This.

No but really if anyone picked up two of the shiny Suicune I would really love a trade if anyone is willing. It is the only one that I didn't get of the shiny legendary dog events..

I have to agree. The fire type looks like it's going to be a slow type based on def/sp.def (that's a first), and the water looks decent. I definitely want the grass though, when hoenn came out it looked like treecko would've been a grass type meant to have physical attributes/attacks. I was kinda right (leaf cutter) but it was kinda weak to be honest. I think the new one may fair better, looks really offensive.
Didn't see this till now. Although i do like the grass one I wouldn't stick with it throughout the game. I have never been one to keep the starters in my actual party. As much as i enjoy them they tend to be kind of weak. Something about them just never seems to stand up to a well balanced team when you play competitively, relatively low base stats and all that jazz. Even with proper EV training. Who knows maybe they have changed it up this time around.

Same with me, except I'm missing Raikou. I have two of each of the others. I would love to trade, but I can't due to my internet connection being WPA-encrypted as opposed to WEP.

What's your internet provider? I can't trade because I didn't get any of the shiny beasts (sad, but true). I do know how to change Wi-Fi settings for 2wire stuff, but other than that, I'm clueless.

Nintendo's support site does give you links for different Wi-Fi providers, I do know that much.
So I've returned. Maybe I can stick around for awhile.

Re: So, whos picking up Pokemon Black/White?

I use Shaw service, which is a provider in Canada. I know there are ways to change your router options to WEP, but my wi-fi fails altogether if I try to change the settings to anything other than WPA2.

If all else fails - which is likely in my case - I'll have to wait until I get the 3DS later (I'll probably decide to get it in May), which does indeed support WPA. WEP is an archaic encryption type that Nintendo somehow still uses, even when the DSi was released.

I don't know too much about Wi-Fi security, but I do know that WEP can be cracked easily. If I'm remembering this correctly, DSi does support another security setting that isn't WEP... I think it's WPA, but I'm not 100% certain on that.

Yes, WEP encryption can be easily broken into.

And the DS/DSi/XL supports WPA only for its internal programs, such as Flipnote Hatena or doodling pictures with friends in a chatroom. But when it comes to wi-fi utilized in actual games, such as Pokemon trading, the system only accepts WEP. And nearly everyone by now has converted to WPA-type security - be it households, wi-fi cafes, or public internet access elsewhere.

Yea, you'll have to wait or just go somewhere with a public wi-fi. If you plan it right, you could just use the GTS and he should be able to find it. It might be difficult for someone else to find though, there has to be like 1000 Suicunes online. If he specified by region that may help. You'll just have to plan accordingly.

                              @xealix

Yea, I think there is only like 2 or 3 pokemon that were strong in terms of certain stats out of all the starters. The thing is though, starters are meant to have all around stats. They are strong when you first start the game, but by the time you reached the elite four, they were just as good as any other pokemon. I wish I had my game back, I don't have any of it. My DSi was stolen along with my games about 1-2 years ago, when my family's house was broken into. I think I can remember what my main team was (it could have been different not sure). In order:

                              4 - Double Team
                              Charizard
                              Swampert
                              Dragonite
                              Rhyperior

3 - Single Team or Alternate Sandstorm Team

                              Gallade--------Tyranitar (Sand Stream)
Milotic----or---Metagross (Hammer Arm 3 times and Gyro Ball haha)
                              Rhyperior------Garchomp (Sand Veil)

As you can see, I was very offensive. I did have some strategic teams, and a lot of sp.atk pokemon like Gardevoir, Milotic, Charizard. I was an impatient player though, so the whole leech seed + ingrain thing didn't work for me too well.

                              *end nerd rant*

It just so happens i picked up two of the Raikou so if you can find a way passed your internet problems I would be most willing to trade you one of my Raikou for one of your Suicune. No one else i know did both of the events. It was stupid on my part to miss the Wifi event..
