    Bloodline Champions

    xpost from ffya

    So awesome.

It's basically WoW arena or WC3's custom hero arenas or whatever super-competitive PvP arena game you want to liken it to.

Bloodline Champions is a PVP game with short, intense matches for up to ten players divided into two teams. Every player plays one of several different bloodlines with 7 unique abilities each.

Different bloodlines in a set up complement eachother, different maps and gamemodes need different tactics, so good teamwork is a must for success.

Chance is not a factor, spells and abilities do a set amount of damage. Random elements such as critical hits and passive abilities do not exist.

Spells travel to where the player aims and can be avoided by enemy players, making every ability dependant on individual player skill.

Without mana and creeps, the game has almost zero downtime and is instead based on short cooldowns, this coupled with no grind or farming ensures that every match is full of action.
It's in closed beta right now, but I can get my hands on a couple of invites for some people here if you want to get in. Me and my roommates usually get on periodically from Friday-Monday when the beta servers are open. I usually play harbinger, psychopomp, or astronomer.

Anyone else digging the **** out of this game?

and then a few months later...

Now, you can still play for free, and the servers are now open 24/7, but unless you preorder the game you can only play 4 bloodlines that change every week or so which is super lame. So right now, for example, you can play as Herald of Insight, Engineer, Ravener, or Thorn. All stats were reset going into open beta so there's no way to tell whether you're going to get your ass kicked by somebody until you play against the person in question. Yet. That will fix itself when people start rebuilding their statistics.

There are a couple of preorder packages ranging from 30-90 dollars.

In addition, V can now get his epic loot! Kind of. Depending on your preorder package, you can change the cosmetics (not the stats) of your character.
There are 3 outfits: Standard, Officer (the 90$ preorder package lmfao), and Genderswapped (Can't-Buy-Until-Release).
Also three weapons: Standard, Preorder, and Can't-Buy-Until-Release.

Once the game hits release, stuff can be purchased with either real game money (boo) or in-game currency you get from wrecking scrubs (yes).

I have an oddly large number of friends playing this. Probably more than any game bar TF2. It seems to attract mostly the HoN/LoL guys and WoW arena guys.

Holy **** that Teldo harbinger is dirty. This is a great link, thanks.

Also, my username is MisterChuckles. If anyone sees me on, hit me up, mention you're FFR so I don't freak out and awkward-quit, and let's dominate some fools. I'm on vacation, I play all the time.

I was going to post about this game and found this thread. For anybody who's been wanting to try, it's in open beta now.

All bloodlines are free now (except for the new 4), so I kind of wish I hadn't pre-ordered.

I like to play Thorn or the Astronomer. Depends on what my team needs.

EDIT: I added you. I just started playing so I'm only Level 8 Grade 3.
