Super Crate Box is an absolutely stellar arena run and gun that was released as freeware last week. It plays like a combination of Metal Slug and Mario Bros, and I simply can't get enough of it. Play it, and good luck unlocking all the costumes.

Also, prepare to piss yourself laughing when you get the minigun. One of the finest moments in indie gaming, ladies and gents.

Yeah the disc gun is retarded. Best thing to do with the minigun if you're being overwhelmed: Fire and let the recoil slam you into a wall. You'll stick to the wall and slide down slowly.

The disc gun is pretty handy sometimes. My favourite would be the bazooka though, useful and easy to use
