they are making a sequel to the STORYLINE of FF7.. in movie form.
yes, the people who made "the spirits within" are making "Final Fantasy: Advent Children", the sequel to FF7 in movie form.

Face it, the text is horribly, horribly bland, the story is a lame rehash of FF6 (which WAS a good game, believe it or not), the characters are super lame (especially everyone's precious Cloud and Sephiroth), yadda yadda, I can litterally go on for hours on how much the game blew. Materia were lame, for one. I like it when my characters have UNIQUE ATTRIBUTES AND ABILITIES, for one.
All I can say is that... everyone who still thinks of FF7 as the best, really, REALLY needs to go play something of actual quality (many previous Square games work, if you want to remain a fanboy of a company with lowering standards).
I have a million and a half suggestions if you are interested. I mean it.
