I LOVE FF7 IT WAS THE BEST DAMN GAME THERE WAS!! materia was the greatest thing ever, Cloud was the king of the gaming world, and Sephiroth was the best damn bad ass ever.m scorpio has made a brilliant topic, and he is not a racist.

Oh! and i did hear about FF7 2, but is it was going to happen i believe that it would have been posted in Gamepro or the unofficial PSM magazine previously. although there have been rumours in the past about this. It is still possible, though so dont give your hopes up! it is possible.

I also recomend a game called EHRGEIZ GOD BLESS THE RING. its a fighting game where Cloud, Tifa and Sephiroth is in. secret characters include Yuffie and Vincent as well.

Clearly you people dont understand. A FF7 remake is NOT A SEQUEL!!! it would be a remake for the PS2 model, instead of the ps1 model. it would be the same game with maybe perhaps a few more side quests (which would be great), and more stunning cinematics. (and maybe a few more game shark codes for us to poke around with. !)

By the way, doesnt Tidus look like a Squall/Cloud hybrid???

I agree with Hobbes on the remake of FF7. It was the best final fantasy ever. There was only one problem for me and its the fact that everytime i played it I would get to the crater where Sephiroth was and I would either have 2 things happen. 1.Iwould somehow magically lose my memory card or 2. Someone would be playing playstation and be like "hey in need some memory so Ill delete FF7. *thinks about when that happened* There was some serious ass kicking for that.

Umm... No thanks on the ass-biting.

And, um, NO on the game being "the greatest ever". First off, the translation would have had to have been handled by someone COMPETENT with the English language. I'm sorry, but a 3rd grade reading level is just not for me, even back when I was, what? I want to say entering junior high when the game originally came out. Face it, the text is horribly, horribly bland, the story is a lame rehash of FF6 (which WAS a good game, believe it or not), the characters are super lame (especially everyone's precious Cloud and Sephiroth), yadda yadda, I can litterally go on for hours on how much the game blew. Materia were lame, for one. I like it when my characters have UNIQUE ATTRIBUTES AND ABILITIES, for one.

All I can say is that... everyone who still thinks of FF7 as the best, really, REALLY needs to go play something of actual quality (many previous Square games work, if you want to remain a fanboy of a company with lowering standards).

I have a million and a half suggestions if you are interested. I mean it.
