well people were saying it in a way that it makes the OP feel like he shouldn't have made the thread in the first place.

They probably are suggesting that.

To OP: FFR has lots of verbally cruel people, but it's the internet so it shouldn't really get to you.

To put their point nicely, Maple Story isn't the kind of game that really would need vent.

You can make it if you want, but it's impractical.

I used to Play CS and be on Vent 24/7. even when I wasn't on vent I'd still be on there talking to my cousin or one of my mates.

It's better than teamspeak which sounds like ****

Yeah, trust me. FFR is drama central in my opinion, but I didn't expect people to act like this in a thread about a maple story vent.

I never gave the main reason why we have a vent~
People assume it's for bosses.

Yes, maple is a grindcore mmorpg. But, there are many things other than grinding to do at higher levels. We use vent to talk and hang out, but gamewise..it's mainly to help set things up so we can do activities in the game with each other. Believe it or not, there are many cool things you can do in the game, you can't just hit 2nd job and expect the world. In fact, not even 3rd has too much to do. They are setting it up where you hit high levels (14x-200) to do things you'd probably think wouldn't be in an mmorpg.

Such as Cygnus Knights, an optional part of the game where you choose a character out of 5, premade, and go through a storyline with remade towns etc.

Other things, such as the Crimson Wood PQ needs 2 9x+s of every class to enter and you go through a scenario where you have to run through this area that is being flooded and you all take down a miniboss related to your class and team up at the end to defeat a larger boss. That takes a lot of communication to keep everyone informed of what is going on.

I'd like to end this post with this.
You shouldn't assume all there is to the game is what you saw, especially if you have not leveled passed 8x. And I am really disappointed in how people reacted to my thread, yet I don't care. People who want to join me in vent even if it is not maple related can now and are informed and that was my goal. My job is finished~

I'd only start playing Maplestory if I had someone to guide me through the game because last time I played I did EVERYTHING WRONG.

I guess it's a good time waster though, in a sense that it isn't really timewasting..

God sake now I feel like playing Dofus and I can't, so now I'm going to have to tell you my Dofus story.

Back when I found dofus in 2006 I made an account and a character, my cousin joined shortly after, I put points on Strength rather than Intelligence because I thought that I'd be more powerful, when Intelligence = Fire and my Class used Fire Spells. Strength was a waste of points and I ruined my class .

Me and my cousin would run around scamming people, putting a really expensive item there, then spamming it out with resources and saying "let me just get rid of some resources I don't need, I'm overloaded." then, once it's spammed out you remove the valuable item and you get lots of money and they get herbs

The unofficial forum for dofus, impsvillage, I remember really cussing this guy, just because he was a ***. And he made two screenshots called "ignorance1.jpg" and "ignorance2.png" and talked like he was the king of England or some ****.

So now, everyone on the servers ( I played on Rushu, Shika and Solar for a little while, but Shika mainly) is like "Omg, Azure-Chrono (me), legendary scammer! And his cousin Enthusiastic, legends!

Since the highest level is 200 in the game, he got to like 130 I think, I got 80 because I didn't really try to level that much. My cousin though, used to hang around with this girl called Kosh/Intention (Two Characters) a REALLY high level (189) and he even Married her, not because of some gay love thing but because you can zoom to their location if they're in a fight and they can help you if you get Aggro'd by some ass, and I remember Kosh kept on trying to cyber with him, then he found out Kosh was a 13 year old boy called Alvin.
