An interesting game to check out is Virtual Fighter 4, although there are a few problems with the lack of options (in my oppinion), and the nearly 25-30 button combos are definately not something that is to my liking. On the otherhand, the kumite is very great and new, and the graphics are excellent.

Marvel VS Capcom 2, Soul Calibur 2 (Cube Version), and Capcom VS SNK 2: EO.

An unexperienced Nightmare character is easy to read, with lots of up down combos, but a good player who can mix it up is a challenge. He does have a couple good interupters, a whole lot of power, and a decent range to put the hurt on an Ivy player. But I'm still Ivy all the way.Central Illinois DDR suckas

I used to own VF4 and now I own VF4 Evolution. Evolution is the better game IMO, yet the depth is just too much for me.Originally posted by AasumDudeAn interesting game to check out is Virtual Fighter 4, although there are a few problems with the lack of options (in my oppinion), and the nearly 25-30 button combos are definately not something that is to my liking. To me, fighting games usually get old quickly. In many cases, the area is to compact, the characters have not enough combo attacks or too cheap of a combo attack, and, personally, the HP system is dull and makes the matches go too fast. I also like games that use strategy, not ones that you could button-mash the whole time and win. I also dislike memorizing every single character's unique button combination, thus making me weaker than my opponent and thus forcing me to push random buttons and hope something good happens. I also dislike the 2-player system most fighting games have. Four players is the optimum for a good, challenging fight.
So, in conclusion, my favorite fighting game is... Super Smash Brothers Melee.

Re: Best Game huh?
Megaman Battle Network is an RPG, Halo 2 is a first person shooter that isn't out yet, and GTA San Andreas is a free-roaming non-linear platformer that also is not out. The thread is about FIGHTING games, and you've also got listed two games you can't possibly have a judgement for yet.Originally posted by lv11Megaman Battle Network 2 the best portable game

Personally I play fighting games too much to just choose one.... a few great ones though
Capcom vs. SNK 2(DC, Arcade)
KOF 2K3(Arcade
Garou : Mark of the Wolves(Arcade)(When will we get a sequel???!)
Marvel vs. Capcom 2(The gameplay isn't perfect, but the character selection owns!)
3D fighters just don't appeal to me as much as 2D
