best fighting game

To this day, I haven't been able to really get into a single 3d fighting game. They all simply suck. No other way to put it. None of them feel right.

Also, Marvel vs Capcom games are WAY too button mashey, IMO. Especially #2. The first one was a lot more balanced.

I still say that SNK makes the best fighters. (While my favorite happens to be made by Sammy, the creator of Guilty Gear, Daisuke Ishiwatari, used to be an SNK employee and I know for a fact he was heavily involved in the character development for the Last Blade games.)

The only fighting games in my local arcade.. so I have to go with Soul Calibur II and Guilty Gear XX.

You can play Super Street Fighter II online through Zbattle.net.. but everyone is usually pretty good..

You can play most NeoGeo/CPS2 fighters throuigh Kaillera, an internet agent for the MAME emulator.

Soul Calibur II takes it hands down, there isn't a more intense and strategic weapon based game out there.

Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen 2. If you don't have it (or have ever heard of it...) then too bad! It's the game based on the ever-so-awesome anime "Naruto". You fight with super-hyper-mega-awesome Ninja skills! It's uber fun. Go import it now.

Second would have to be Marvel vs. Capcom. Strider & Ryu were my two players.

Soul Calibur II is alright for a while, but it gets old fast. Kilik owns everybody else and Nightmare is just too cheap.

Whoa whoa whoa, kilik is loved too much by the noob crowd to be that good. But a good player can pull some potential out of him. Nightmare is cheap, and Raphael and Mitsurugi are big noob players. I myself am a Ivy player. No one can beat her range and superior range of attacks. Not to mention that summoned suffering and calamity symphony throws own.

I don't go and "cheapen" him either.. People just suck.. learn to block..

Kilik could be considered a "noob" character, but the only reason I use him is because he's the coolest one in the game. And he has a staff which makes all his moves look sweet. I'm also a fan of Talim and Link.

Nightmare was cheap because you could use him for the really hard Weapon Master missions. If a friend uses him, I use Taki and beat him with speed. Same with Astaroth. But if the opponent is decent (None of my friends) then I will fight Nightmare characters equally with force and Guard Impact the sword attacks because they are slow and extremely readable.

But that's just me.

Nobody else has Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen 2? It's a sweet game with ninjas. NINJAS. It's better than Ninja Gaiden ohsnap.

The nightmare player has to suck if you take him out with speed.. Nightmare isn't that slow.. at all.. not like, lets say, astaroth..

And if you play people who can use nightmare, they'd make sure it'd be hard to read.. there's so many different things he can do.. high or low.. there's like 5 frames to tell whether or not he's going low or high in the middle of a combo..

Tampon (Maxi for those not in my circle of close friends) is the ultimate n00b character in SC2.
