I've only seen trailers for this game and I'd love to hear more information from you guys if you have any info. Also, if you guys have sources or websites you can show me I'd like to find out about storylines, when it takes place and how it ties into the Halo trilogy. Also if you could express your thoughts and what you expect from the game and what you think of previous Halo games(including marathon). Thank you =]

Marathon takes place centuries after Halo by the way.

One thing they did to make sure people caught on about Marathon/Halo was on the side of the Pillar of Autumn is the Marathon logo, but good job.

It looks like they are trying to cash in on the Halo brand using starcraft style gameplay. That being said it still looks awesome because more good sci-fi RTS games couldn't hurt.

Yeah, I'm a long time Starcraft player and I'd love to see a RTS with a brand new look. I'm hoping they bring something really groundbreaking to the table though.

hmm well.. seeing how you get to control a pack of spartans, i find that pretty sweet.

The fact that its coming ONLY to 360..i find gay =\.

I get the feeling Master Chief wont really be in it..but mentioned >_>

i hope it fills in a few story gaps as-well =)

watch Chief be like a "special" character to use only once during each lvl XD

Master Chief's 20 when Halo Wars takes place and theres like a 30 year gap almost in his story so its possible he winds up in there somewhere definitely. I'm willing to bet that the Spartans you take control of are ones they've already talked about, I'd love to run the missions as Fred/Linda/Kelly/Kurt

And seeing how you can't just go oh i'ma train a Spartan unit at mah barracks he'll be done in 2 minutes without saying fuck you to the existing story it seems more likely they'll do that. I think there are only like 30-35 Spartans around in that time frame, at least from Master Chief's batch.

I wonder how multiplayer will work though. If it will be Marines vs Marines or multiple choices of teams like Covenant, Flood, and Marines. I really look forward to multiplayer if their is any. =]

The Flood were discovered in 2552(?) and game takes place in 2531 so unless it spans a real long time I don't think they'll be included

I'm er, halfway through it, it's actually pretty interesting. I'm always iffy when they have chapters in the Covenants perspective, but its working out. I think I stopped right at their first contact on Harvest. Exciting stuff

Johnson is a bad ass of course.

Considering this is the authors first published work and hes the voice of the Grunt for Bungie he is doing quite well here. Except he uses too much military jargon and I forget whats what

[edit] You're learning more about the Huragok race, the one that acts like the mechanic and fixes everything and repairs Master Chiefs suit that one time, they are awesome.

Covenant = Protoss
Spartans = Terrans

hmm...

Don't get things confused now.

Anyways i'm really looking forward to this, and I believe covenant are included considering it shows them in the trailers.
