Halo Movie

So. . ., I've been waiting for the Halo Movie since 2007 and I was like 2 years?, they better make it good because a lot of people are going to get disappointed :P. People are saying the movie will come out in 2009 and they say it's still in production and the other half said it was cancelled. I believe it is still going but I'm not exactly sure. . .

It's been stalled and restarted several times, I think (issues between producers and other people, etc). I do know that Peter Jackson is directing, which means it will be awesome if/when it is finished.

A good movie cannot be turned into a good video game and a good video game cannot make a good movie.

I've talked to the bungie music producer directly because... well I know him.
And he tells me it is pretty much not going to happen. To many people want way to much money and its just not worth it.
Maybe if all the celebs weren't so god damn cheap, it would be out already. But untill that day, sorry.
Not gonna happen :]

I don't see it working out anyways, i just say make it like Halo 3 graphics and make the voice overs and such.
Real life would look like crap IMO, and I also don't see how t hey would make it into a movie without risk losing a game series.
If they continue making Halo onto Halo 4, how will they do that if they so called " finished the fight " in the movie?
Movies are normally 1 hour + and they can't have 1 hour + off bullcrap and going nowhere.
Well... they could do that and get rich off of it too.

Actually it is not, and never was sanctioned to be directed by Peter Jackson. He was co-director.

There is no Halo 4, and never will be. If you really knew the Bungie music producer you would know this by now.

I am not going to give the DBZ movie a chance. I mean, have you seen the cast they are using? They have that guy from the newest War of the Worlds (with Tom Cruise), who played Robbie, the crazy son, as Goku. Seriously, him of all people. Oh and Piccolo might not even be green, honestly.

But I will say that Chow Yun-Fat is playing Master Roshi so that could be the only thing really worth it.


But back on topic. I think a Halo movie is doable compared to most other video game movies. Like Bioshock or Soul Calibur. I can see a good story for a movie about Halo, but with all the mess and mumbo-jumbo going on I doubt it will be released any time soon.

Dragon Ball Z - the kid doesn't even look like Gohku.

I couldn't watch 5 seconds of Speed Racer.

As for being back on topic, I expect some angry flames from my above comment.

I sense a 1/5 chance on a good movie from this bunch, Transformers being that 1.

And there was Final Fantasy The Spirits Within, which I'll admit was also good.
Advent Children, no.

Video games and/or anime into Americanized movies just seem wrong.
You see it with the horror movies too.

You can't recreate something like that.

And the original is probably better anyways.

Mind you, I strongly dislike Dragon Ball Z.


One last thing:

Gokus hair is short.
It bugs me for some reason.

And Piccolo should be green.

I think, the last I looked, only two of them were. But I don't think everyone in the anime itself was meant to be Asian, but that is just what I think.

Star Wars seemed liked a good movie to everyone, but were any of the games amazing? Probably not. I didn't really like Star Wars at all and the few games that I have played were terrible.

EDIT: Also, how can you say this or that movie is worse compared to the Halo one? Both the Halo and Warcraft movies aren't even out, what is there to compare? Point simply is, they will both suck.
