So, knowing that the ratio of finding a "shiny" pokemon is 1 out of 8912, would it be possible to hatch a "shiny" pokemon?
Edit:
I forgot to add that I am talking about Diamond and Pearl
Through some research, I found that hatching a shiny pokemon has the same ratio of finding a shiny. I also found out a guy on youtube took over 3,000 soft resets over an average of 2-3 days in order to encounter just one shiny legendary.
I am also aware of the other forms of finding shinies, such as chaining.
What I have done is saved 1 step before the egg has hatched. So, everytime I take a step, it hatches and I get to view the pokemon. I soft reset and repeat this process until I finally find what I am looking for. Here's the problem, can I continuously soft reset on one egg or do I have to keep on breeding eggs?
Edit:
Upon further research, I have found out that, yes, it is possible to hatch a shiny pokemon, because it does have the same ratio (1/8912). What is also interesting is that having a shiny parent may increase the chances of recieving shiny baby.
