Also: the site linked is on the North American Nexon website. Something as enormous and a big deal as this would be at Nexon.com I think.

Also: no mention on nexon's main page, either at Nexon.net or at Nexon.com.

Also: there would have been news about this before it breaking as a closed beta. They do have press releases and interviews and things of that nature, and this sort of thing would have been heard of long before it is ready for player testing/play.

Also: MapleStory is far from complete. No version has all of the currently available areas or content.

Also: "The four playable characters in MapleStory, Warrior, Magician, Bowman and Thief will be available in MapleStory 2 and the two new characters are Fighter and Cleric." Fighter and Cleric are 2nd job subclasses of the Warrior and Magician classes respectively. Also, there is no mention of the 5th class of Pirate which is available in kMS, possibly jMS (I'm not sure if it's out yet there), and it will not be much longer before it's available in other versions as well (MSEA in particular is already having data for the Pirate's home town added I think).

Also: with how much work they're still putting into MapleStory, I doubt that they'd kill it with something like this. They're also doing a DS title based on MapleStory, even mimicking the same art style of the PC version.

That said, the "screenshots" look pretty good, although the clash of 3D environment with 2D sprite art is bothering me.

EDIT: upon further thinking, I am going to say that this is probably a real game

just not related to MapleStory or probably even Nexon at all.

Anywho. The game is pretty good, its korean (from plaync korea www.plaync.co.kr)

The game has 3 classes, archer, mage and warrior. Decent gameplay (collect enough crystals and open a portal for a boss fight, rare items ect)


You can only play it during certian times (bummer).

its not a bad game, just the fact it opens 12:00pm korean time and ends like....12 pm our time...>_> weekend games ftw
