    Perfect World

So, anyone that played 2moons with me knows I ditched. Mostly because of the rates and lack of time to play. I was recently trying to get onto private servers with much higher rates, but was unsuccessful. However, I ran into this gem in the process thanks to SCWolf!

Perfect World is a free, incredible (thus far) MMO...with one hitch. Grinding. However, we've got that problem fixed, since we have a private server. It's always up with no lag at all and no DCs with EXP/gold rates of 20x the original server. If you're interested in playing, follow the links and instructions below to sign up and join in. It's pretty easy. There's a lot of patching, but all the dls are fast, so it doesn't take long.

REGISTRATION: http://best-gaming.net/forum/showthread.php?t=291 Simple enough. IF EVERYTHING ELSE WORKS BUT YOU CANNOT ACCESS THE REGISTRATION PAGE, SEND ME A PM AND I WILL MAKE YOU AN ACCOUNT!

CLIENT: http://best-gaming.net/forum/showthread.php?t=6 File Front is fast -> DIRECT LINK: http://files.filefront.com/Perfect+W...;8668331;/file

PATCHES YOU NEED: http://best-gaming.net/forum/showthread.php?t=603 (DIRECT LINK: http://files.filefront.com/perfectwo.../fileinfo.html)

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PATCHING: 1. Download and install the game
    2. Start up the game and let it update like you're going to play on normal servers, but exit out when done.
    3. Replace the original files with the patch files.

    About the game:

    - Complete character customization. You can really be unique here, as you're able to modify just about *everything*. There are also various classes to choose fun.

    - Massive world. I've been playing it a few hours, and I think I've seen less than 5% of the world. You can fly, literally, thousands of feet into the air onto mountains and such - it's HUGE! The world is also SEAMLESS! Screw load times - this is free for you to explore.

    - Light grinding! Super high EXP and gold rates mean you don't grind much here. Go wherever you want mostly, whenever you want. To give an idea of how light this is on griding, at level 28 I was getting 4-5% a kill from enemies 9-10 levels lower than me.

    - Tons more.

Anyway, post info here if you're interested. Here are some SSs from the game:

    Extra stuff:

    -> Level guide:

Events: No events on currently, though there have been DDoS attacks on the server. You can check the shoutbox on the site to make sure the server is up.

Will update occasionally with more info.

God, i played this game for a few, but it aggrivated me on how long it takes just to be able to travel faster. It gets tidious going from one side of the map to the other and back again just for 5% exp. Wasn't my flavor.

Hmm, even though it is a private server and all, i just got a bad taste from the real thing. I doubt ill go to it now.

It was fun for a while though. Its really not a bad game, but the long distance running, and even flying was long, turned me away from this one. 5/10

Yea. It isn't necessarily that you move to slowly, but that the world is *exponentially* larger than any I have ever seen in a free to play game. It feels like it makes oblivion look pretty small. You can teleport though, you know, so you don't have to walk everywhere. There are also speed upgrades to make you run and fly faster.

Also, since you have 25-50 times your regular cash income, as long as you pot and whatnot extensively you never have to purposely return anywhere really.

And I should point out again that the exp rate on this is somewhere between 25-50 times that of the original.

OK everything's installed... patches are go. Now... how do I get Evolution to let me log on to the server?

Might seem like a stupid question, but did you register (not just for the main site)? If the patches are up (all of them, including the one at the bottom) and you've registered then you can log on even if the server is down (it'll tell you to log back in at the character selection/creation screen).

Post more information about the problem if you still can't get on and the server isn't down/you registered properly.

I went to register using the button that was provided in the launcher, and it took me a to a Cubizone reg screen. One of the things I had to fill in was an Identity Number/Passport number... what's up with that? Do they want my SS number or something?

Can I just put in a bunch of numbers arbitrarily and let it slide with that?

                    WTF?

The registration should read: Account name, password, pass conform, and email. That's it.

If you can't get it to work, I can just make one for you and email you the password.

Is where it sends me when I click "register" on the launcher on Perfect World. Dunno why, but it's obviously got a lot more stuff there that it's asking for.

If that's the wrong URL to register at, just post the good URL and I'll see if that works for me.

                        OH haha.

                        See the link REGISTRATION: http://best-gaming.net/forum/showthread.php?t=291

You do NOT need to register with the main game. The private server runs off accounts that go through bestgaming.

Oh damn, haha I did register with them. And, apparently managed to completely forget that I used a different password reg'ing there. Who woulda guessed! Thanks for setting me straight.
