4983 4695 3977 is the one i'm using right now. i'll add you afro and kirby you've already added and played me duh. sorry flame i'm getting on right now
EDIT: you guys should all put your codes in your sigs so it's easier for me to find them cuz i don't know what yours is afro
As was already said by temote, my code is 4038-5674-6863. I'm not gonna add it to my sig since I do a lot of postings in other forums and am not interested in having my sig have that look to it in the posts I make over there.
And dude, don't belittle the skill required in the use of certain items. They require skill. Many of them are unfair, but others of them add an additional element of required skill. For example, if I can nail you with a beam sword from the other side of the stage to stop you from being able to recover, you wouldn't call that skill? How about chucking a Mr Saturn at you so that you'll dodge and leave yourself open for my real strike of an aerial forward A drill to up a aerial tail whip? Is that also not skill? Seems like the very elemental principle of what you would call "mindgames" to me... Things like bombs or hammers are definitely unfair, and Pokeballs or Assist Tropies are pretty obvious too. But other things like Mr Saturn, Beam Sword, heck, I'd even say Homerun Bat (if you get nailed by one of those slow as **** homerun smashes you deserve to lose the entire match as far as I'm concerned)... they're not really unfair. The only issue becomes the fairness of being able to obtain items and their consistent effect on the battle. This is easily evened out by playing high stock counts.
And finally, if the player is TRULY the most skillful, they will be skilled in the art of item use, and as such, would have no problem winning an items match (assuming unfair things like bombs and such are disabled). Really, I'd love to see how a fair items match would play out with people who only play no items. You know what would be even better than that? Comparing it to a battle between a no-items-er with someone who uses items and relate how a fair items battle goes compared to a no items fight.
Items are obviously a huge advantage and an uneven system in Brawl.
You have got to be insane if you think EVERY item in Smash Bros. is unfair. "YEAH MAN I'M ALWAYS GETTING KILLED IN ONE HIT BY BULL**** MR SATURNS WTF"
though it can be overwhelmingly advantageous to those who get powerful items like Final Smashes
They require skill to get. If a person is able to get a Final Smash, they're not undeserving of the benefit of the extra damage or kill that they would be able to inflict using their Final Smash.
However, at the same time, they're still not in the same league as Mr Saturn or Beam Swords. And even so, they're still not on the same level as Bombs either. On a fairness scale, I'd put them in the middle. More fair than bobombs but less fair than Mr Saturns.
And I've survived many final smashes; they aren't automatically lethal.
This is a good point. Many player's Final Smash requires them to control their actions during it (Sonic/Pikachu or even other things like ROB's or Bowser's), and as such, allows a big opening for demonstration of skill on both sides. Others are admittedly a little different (thinking: Kirby or Metaknight, maybe the Links or Captain Falcon), but that just means that skill needs to be applied BEFORE the attack is enacted upon you (by applying the oft mentioned mindgames).

Not every, of course, but you have to admit some are uneven, and the way to tell true core skill is to play w/o items. Mr. Saturn's suck though. Hi Afrobean. Quoting sucks. Bye.
Don't feel like playing anymore right now. It's weird too because only the Wii disconnected. I'm also on AIM here and have MapleStory running as well without interruption.
And Korny, for your ego, I was expecting to get trounced playing against you. How many matches of those did I lose? One? All I remember was that one on Lylat Cruise where it was down to the wire with 3 of us left with high percents and only one stock each. Good matches regardless, but, ironically, I was looking forward to getting owned in a way. I still want to do a 1 on 1 with your Pikachu sometime man too.

True but they weren't one on ones. And nor were they on neutral stages. No excuses from me though your pikachu beat my lucas fair and square. However if we were to play on Final destination i would use characters that i find do well against your pikachu such as pikachu and Mr G&W. Good games though. Your pikachu is commendable.
Anybody ready to play again? Afrobean? korny? Anybody?
P.S Afrobean, he does have a supermassive ego, unfortunately. The guy who won the match with him, you, me, and the other guy was me (LOGAN). Though he does have few worthy adversaries, he loses far more than you think.

Yeah, that's right. I remember thinking "**** that Logan is gonna win if I don't focus more on him", then brought things up to a more close fight, only to have him finish the last of us off at the same time rofl
And korny, I'm a lot better on stages with things to them. I'm not as comfortable on Final Destination. But yeah that Hyrule Temple fight, while great, is not a very accurate representation of how I handle myself on Final Destination. I do even worse when there is many people on Final Destination. On the match where I DC'd, it was a brawl on FD, and I was already behind by quite a bit when I DC'd I think.
