The FF Storyline

Alright, I know most people think that every FF (Final Fantasy) game is completely different. However, when you look at the series you can find ways to link each one together. For example, in Final Fantasy X-2 you learn about a war between machines and summoners *cough* FF VI *cough*. Also in FF1 you fight a boss called Chaos who's some kind of evil demon... thingy (I don't know much about this so correct me if I'm wrong) and in FF Tactics (this is pure speculation mind you) they are trying to revive an evil demon... These are both medieval type time-based which appears to be a common theme throughout 1-5 and Tactics. Tactics Advance, being an imaginary world doesn't really fit at all. Now back to X-2. In X-2 there is an Al-Bhed boy named Shinra who invents many things and is a super-genious. His ideas could eventually lead to the creation of Shinra from FF7. These are a few of my ideas. I have played every FF game, but I haven't beaten any (I kinda lose interest after a while), so if you notice any flaws in my theories, or have any of your own, feel free to post your ideas here.

On a easier note, they all seem to:

- Have the main plot as saving the world
- Have chocobos
- Have moogles
- Have summons
- Have a character named "Cid" who always has a somewhat important role.

Isn't it Biggs and Wedge? Also, in FF1, and 9...and I think a few more, there's the 4 Guardians of fire, earth, water and wind. Four, things that open up a magic happy land (FF9=That.... Place... Either Crystal Land or that Gaia place.... FF1=Final Dungeon, back in time)

Well, the Final Fantasy games are not [i]direct[i] sequels (save X-2). Though they do share similarities. It is these similarities that make it Final Fantasy.

The movie would have been far better if
A: There was some element of Final Fantasy actually in it
B: There was more shooting stuff
C: There was less everything else
D: It didn't get all spiritual and wierd

Although I will admit the CG was excellent...put the Matrix to shame...

my friend tells me that some japanese guy with this huge japanese name with "cid" as the first 3 letters wrote most of FF1, but died before it was released, and as a tribute to him, every game has a Cid.
