Halo 3 Forerunner question (SPOILERS!!)

Here's a quote from wikipedia (slight spoilers):

"According to the evidence scattered among the Halo games and novels, the Forerunners destroyed themselves roughly 100,000 years before the current setting of the games in an effort to contain the Flood, leaving behind a vast collection of their architecture and technology."

Well, the game mentions that the forerunners are humans... humans are a singular species. Modern human beings haven't been around that long, no longer really than about 200,000 years. We didn't really become civilizations until the last ten thousand years! So uh.. how does it figure in that the forerunners are human?

Keep in mind that the Forerunners destroyed themselves 100,000 years ago, so they were around developing culture and technology far longer than that.

There are so many loose ends in Halo 3 it's ridiculous. Way to go, Bungie.

I was one of the people who bought the legendary, had it reserved a year ago.. and I was 6th in line to get it at midnight. XD

Show me the line where I wrote "Halo 3 is a bad game."

What I wrote there was "Halo 3 was clearly designed solely for a multi-player experience and even fans of Halo understand that."

I bought 2 games when I bought Halo3.
I bought halo 3 at best buy on Tuesday, they had about 20 copies left.
I also bought Tetris Evolution.
I have already played more Tetris Evolution than Halo 3.


To me, halo 3 is just halo 2 with more weapons.


Though I would like to play with some of you people. My gamertag is lorddoom4.

Ending run was fun, but without the timer like Halo 1 makes it easier and a little less fun, but it was a fun ride nonetheless.
