The graphics are 100 times better. The campaign has maps that easily are better where some people said the halo 2 campaign felt like going through the same maps over again. Great contrast of backgrounds; Luscious Forests, Baren deserts, Snowy Tundras, Urban Wastelands, underground, docks, etc. The one thing i disliked was that you were fighting just a bunch of brutes and grunts over and over where in the others you would fight elites, grunts, jackals, hunters, etc. Also that when i played legendary with just me and 2 other people it seemed a WHOLE lot easier than the others legendary ones, especially since you can die and respawn where it would normally make you start over when even one of your friends died. Great selection of weapons, vehicles, and equipment items. Plus the online multiplayer which is just plain amazingly fun.

Overall, fantastic game, worth the money and the wait.

Well I don't even care about the campaign. Beat the first level on heroic... It was alright.

wow u know whats funny so yesterday i had a dentist apponitment so i was absent then i come to school the next day and my 1st per. teacher says "sooo did u get halo?" and i never said anything about it,but anway i did not get it, instead i bought skate like a week and a half ago but ill read a bunch of reviews to see if its worth atlest $60

Played the last half of the game yesterday with my friend Richard. Took about 6-7 hours straight. Um wow. Let me go over some things:

1. Graphics - You can tell the difference from Halo 2 and Halo 3 graphically but this only in areas where it was expected. I couldn't tell if the normal mapping was good or not because the bloom coming off of the mapping blinded me half the time. A step better but Halo 3 is not as graphically stunning as it was touted to be.

2. Sound - ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I've said it before and I'll say it again. From the sound effects to the scores to the last bit of music at the very end, AMAZING. I've always championed the Halo series for its music and such and Halo 3 did not let me down.

3. Gameplay - Erm, it's Halo 2 except new gadgets like the Bubble Shield and Portable Gravity Thing (don't know exact name) so I wasn't let down but I wasn't amazed either.

4. Story - I don't care what you people say, YOU GOT SCREWED OVER AT THE END. YOU KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. THE VERY END OF THE GAME ON LEGENDARY MODE? YEAH, THAT ENDING.












Sucks huh?



5. Multiplayer - Still fun.


Overall, while I did have fun with the multiplayer and liked some things about the game, I still stick to my previous statement and the say the game is overrated, just to a lesser degree. This game is the best of the 3 in the trilogy but when you compare them to the first two, that's really not all that great.

And yeah, all the Halo fans I've spoken to today all say Halo is a terrible single-player game. They all acknowledge it.

5-7 hour campaign? Pathetic.
