mario has yoshi, mario can spit fire, mario can fly, he can throw hammers and grow bigger, he kills things just by jumping on them, so who do u think would win?

True. But Sonic is fast, can spin through rocks, and when he has all 7 chaos emeralds, he grow powerful and destroy's EVERYTHING!! Sonic wins.

well the thing goes like this,

mario: 1 for popularity
sonic: 1 for power.

just look at the monsters sonic beat with the seven emeralds, but without them mario wins

Hopefully, and I mean hopefully, you'll be able to find out in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I'm pretty sure Sonic is the most-wanted 3rd party character for that game, so we'll see if he gets in.
