Well it'd be pretty bad if it ended up worse. After all, the closed beta WAS there in the first place to solve problems.

I installed it and when I open it, the game loads to 100%, so I click Run Game and nothing happens after it.

Run Game Issue Fix:

Status: Installed
Result: Functions 100%

This is a step by step guide:

1. Download this file: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=DJJQO6M2.
2. Scan it for Viruses if you are uncertain.
3. Extract it to wherever you wish (WinRAR is recommended).
4. Go To Control Panel --> Regional and Language Settings.
5. Languages Tab (the middle one) and check the very last checkbox (East Asian Files).
6. When it asks you for a CD, find the coressponding file that it asks for (it will ask for one certain file, it should be easy to find within the extracted file).
7. Halfway through the process, it will ask for another file (again, its rather easy to find since its the only one of its type).
8. Restart the computer, or else it just looks like a bunch of blank boxes.
9. Enjoy.

1) It changes it to your language.
2) You do not need a CD.
3) It dosen't matter which file you put the Language pack in.
4) I am assuming that this is a XP-Only solution, but it may work for Vista.
5) If you have a Windows XP CD, then I suggest you go ahead and use that rather than download the file.

Eh, the closed beta version runs just fine until it gets to the login point, which is obviously down because they closed it forever ago.

In other words, everything's running perfect.

I'm gonna try uninstalling both the closed beta and open beta versions, THEN installing the open beta version.

Maybe the files are getting mixed up? I dunno, I didn't think of the fact that they could be in the same folder or something.

EDIT: Also, there's a rumor going around that when you clear 4-10, you can play as new characters.

So is there anything obvious added, aside from more levels? Cuz I never finished with the levels in the closed beta before getting kinda bored with it. =\

Possibly the new chars, but if you don't like the game, then you don't like the game. I doubt it's going to make a huge change. A lot of people do like it, though.

Well I know I'd hate playing D2 if there were only Barbarians and Amazons. I have a feeling some other character class in that game would make me way more likely to enjoy it.

I mean, I did enjoy it, but it got old after a while. Maybe it was that I couldn't solo except as a healer, but I hate being healer characters. =\

Eh, healers are kinda fun in this game, in my opinion.
