Who else hates Guitar Hero???

I hate Guitar Hero for the following reasons:

1. It was made for the peoplewho are too untalented to actually play guitar.
2. It makes the player feel accomplished.

Fun for group activities and personal enjoyment. I wouldn't say people who are extremely good are "talented," because it's just like any other game. I don't, however, feel as if it's for people who CAN'T play guitar. It's just a game.

Also why not play a sport rather than playing a sport video game? It's not the same thing at all.

Playing Guitar Hero and playing real guitar has absolutely nothing to do with each other, whatsoever. I've met some people that have never held a guitar in their lives and complete expert with 90%+, and others who play guitar in a band and can't play worth ****.

I hate GH because watching the scene from "Lost In Translation" when Scarlett Johanssen is walking through the Japanese arcade and watches a guy playing Guitar Freaks made me realize why I exactly hate GH.

It's Guitar Freaks + Frequency + Amplitude - Good Music + Well Known American Rock = Guitar Hero.

And don't let me get started on how X-Play called BMUS a rip-off of GH.

Are you kidding me? It's not made for that. It's made to be a fun game. They thought of an idea to imitate a guitar SLIGHTLY. It raked in tons of money too.

Plus, all games make you feel accomplished when you are good at them.

GH was made for the people who have no musical talents but want to play a game that helps them emulate all of thei air-guitar fantasies. Now I play a lead guitar. Then I played GH. GH isn't meant to replace playing a guitar but it does appeal to the fact that you can still enjoy playing a guitar albeit it be in a video game.

The game still sucks either way.

I know it's obviously an opinion but GH has not shown me anything innovative to make it a must-buy. Can you tell me what is so innovative about the game other than these "reasons"?

1. Large plastic guitar peripheral (First seen in GF)

2. Color note styled music queing (First seen in PnM then in Freq and Amp)

3. Large selection of Rock Music (GF even though it was Japanese and other world rock.

Anything else I missed? OH THAT'S RIGHT. THE WHAMMY BAR. That's the only thing I'll give GH except the actual strum bar. GF had that first as well.
