XBOX Connect? What the hell's that?

Well, recently I got an XBOX for Christmas and it came with some 2 month free xbox live program or whatever you want to call it. of course I'm planning to use the 2 free months, but afterwards I'm cutting off the program. My friend said that afterewards, I could use something called 'XBOX connect' which is just like XBOX live, except that it's free. Does anyone know anything about this? I'd like some details on this so I can know wether I should get this or not.

I work in a video game store and have no idea what you're talking about.

Perhaps he means how you can run an X-box through a computer internet connection on CERTAIN GAMES only. Like, I know you can run Halo for the 'box through GameSpy Arcade.

some...hm, does anyone know wether it'd work on DDR Ultramix? I plan on getting that even if I can't go online with it, but it'd be nice if I could

Here come X3 to the rescue!

XBConnect is a free program cretaed by... well... guy who wanted to play Halo online. Basically, it takes games that have system link capabilities (You know, the ability to link up to 4 systems together for 16 player matches) and puts them online, by plugging the ethernet port into your internet instead of to another Xbox. This way, your system will find another Xbox online, and you can play any system link game like you were playing wither another Xbox nearby.

That should answer any further questions.

Oh, you can also virtually do this for any system that has sytem link capabilities, so you can also play Gamecube titles like Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, Kirby's Air Ride, and 1080 online.

Software company that brought the Nintendo GameCube online. Custom software consultancy for the video game and entertainment sectors.

That's the software for the Gamcube.
