    Re: Lunia

DL worked for me, and Tsu, you can play through the tutorial and level a bit + get starting items, at least that's what i've done with my warrior.

Anyway, is their only one server at the moment? I think there is, right? But what's the deal with picking what square? maybe there's four servers... if so, I picked square 2, which was "smooth" at the time.

anyway, I'll try playing a bit more, see what happens.

P.S: I can't even alt+tab out of the game, it simply won't let me.
    Come Play The Werewolf Game!

What if I just decide to keep my inventory open so it always looks like that?

@Observer try hitting the window key or ctrl+alt+del then alt+tab.

        Re: Lunia

I downloaded and played this when it opened and i must say it is really great.

The problems you guys are having with the text not showing up for descriptions is something to do with your computer and there is a manual patch for the text problem somewhere. Only seems to happen to some computers. Mine was absolutly fine with the descriptions and everything.

And lol there is no exit for the town silly. you press the start button to enter a stage or pvp etc. That town is just a town for getting your party and selling and buying junk.

The game is pretty much a beat em up. each stage has a poorly done cutscene made in flash with speech bubbles that don't fix the text. You pretty much justt get from one place to another with friends or random people and try to survive your way through hoards of monsters and the usual boss at the end and sometimes a midboss to accomany it.

It's what you would expect from a beatem up with rpg elements. You can do dashes and your physical attacks are A for normal attacks and D for "power" attacks and space bar for your hit em while their down atacks. You can do a various amount of combos and such with these buttons and your skills are also assigned to your hot keys which you can mix in with your combos.

I actually really like this game due to the fact that the hit detection for attacking your character is spot on. you can actually dodge attacks and shiz without that annoying "invisible hit" type thing.

This game has alot of problems and is really not worth playing yet until the open beta as the closed will proberly leave a bad taste in your mouth.

The main reasons would be the lag and the disconnections. the lag has been making moving and hitting extremly clunky and somtimes you will move into the same position as you were before moving because of this lag.

Another is the fact that the server disconnects you all the time seriously i play 3 stages and i usually get disconnected. When you get disconnected everything is like you never even played the stage you started. so if you leveled up or got some rare ****ing loot like i did. Tough **** you lost it.

The "story" cutscene and gameplay text is also pretty unreadable at some point due to the text not fitting the bubbles and some clashing with the background.

So yeah i stopped playing this at level 8 so i could fully savor the experience without remembering this annoyance leaving a bad taste.

The game itself is brilliant and i love it but sadly it is not really playable at the moment with such a crappy server. I will definatly play the game but not until open beta when hopefully shiz is sorted out. Also the fact it's in closed beta means that your character is gonna get erased at the end of may.

Save yourself from the annoyance of the closed beta test but definatly start playing when the open beta starts.

I guess I'll give it a shot. I'm downloading it for the third time and it's at 96%, so it should finish any second now.

This time, it really is giving me all 893MB.

I think I've got this all figured out. You can ONLY level in groups, which pisses me off. I'm not very fond of party-only leveling because I hate it when I'm grouped with a bunch of morons who doesn't know what they are doing. I suppose the only way this game will survive for me is if more FFR people play or there's an alternative method of leveling.

              Re: Lunia

You don't always show up to stages with other people. I think if you do the private room or whatever it's called you go alone (unless you make the password 'FFR' and we join =P). I went to an earlier stage to get more slime thingers and nobody else was there. I guess I was overleveled compared to other people that wanted to go. o_O

It hasn't DCed me randomly so far, I've been doing just fine. The lag is definitely bleh, though, cuz lots of times I move in plenty of time to avoid something, but it lags me around and I get hit a bunch anyway. Pretty annoying, but I know it'll get better.

Also, I've only used like 2 skill points so far. I'm wanting to save up for the passive things, but I'm starting to think that there's no point in there even being skill points, cuz as far as I can tell only one skill opens up every level, and the 2nd level of that skill requires an even higher level. So really, there probably aren't even any options, which is kinda gay. =\
So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.

Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O

The pathing could be better because some of the path way entrances are way to narrow and if you don't enter it correctly, you get stuck for a bit. I'm still working on finding that manual patch so I can actually find out what my stats/skills do.

                    Re: Lunia

I'm pretty sure you can level up alone. It's not the best idea really. the people who join are pretty much random. it just matches you up to other people who are playing the game which have not beaten the rocks yet. If you still happen to be alone there is most likely a full team already or nobody wants to play that stage but it will pretty much try and join you to a game if it can. most people don't tend to wait for people.

supposedly you can fix the text problem by installing the font MS UI Gothic.

If that doesn't work this copy and paste should maybe.

To make the long stroy short , Go here http://www.speedyshare.com/723457114.html Go download it , Extract it to desk top take out the ui file that pops up then when u delete the ui file u got 2/3 files , then tak the 2 thats left over and drag it to C:\LuniaGSP_CB

Anyway i hope you guys do enjoy it but i really hope you guys won't overplay so much that by the time the open beta comes you won't want to start over. Just remember this is the closed beta and your characters and stuff will be wiped so don't get too attached or do something you won't want to do again.

Yeah, the lag sucks, but it's still fun.

                      Friend and I got to 8 tonight. I'm a warrior, he's a healer.

                      Fun.

                        Re: Lunia

                        I have several chars.
                        - Mion (Lv7 Healer)
                        - Shion (Lv1 Healer)
                        - Abyssion (Lv3 Warrior)
                        - Marisa (Lv1 Wizard)

I tried healers first because I liked how they looked the most. Turns out I may stay with it. I thought of using warriors, but they're kinda boring to me, even with skills. I also like being able to do a thing which makes me never die(really, I've never died). I'm only on stage 1-8, and I was playing with another healer friend, but still. The thing you have to do is heal your HP to max no matter how low your MP is, use the skill that turns MP into HP, and then heal your HP. You'll always end up with all but 1HP and you'll lose the MP used in casting the self heal, but otherwise have a full bar.

Also, get Mana Regen at level 6 and not that Roar thing. Roar can save you in a sticky situation, but it isn't really needed, at least not yet.

Oh, and don't bother saving SP. I think they made it the way they did for a reason, but I could be wrong.

Got to 12. Pretty much quit. Until they fix the lag, it's really not fun playing.

1-10 is insane. You're allowed a max party size of 4 and you will need it.

Every level past that is impossible alone, unless you're a Healer. Healers are the best soloers, which is why I'm thinking of making one for myself. Especially because the only way to heal in this game is to have spells or potions, and inventory space is a little cramped for potions.

I'm in the process of beating 2-10 alone at level 14ish.

Yeah, well, you're a healer. So shut up.

2-1 is, again, impossible to solo unless you're a healer. In fact, it's pretty much impossible to win without a healer.

I can't get over the incredibly crappy lag and animation glitches that make the game so incredibly hard.
