Well, the PS3 is trying to future proof itself and that doesn't always work. Currently, the 360 is being smart and using a format that everyone knows how to use and when the time when Blu-Ray becomes common, they'll have the flexibility of switching to it (hopefully by then, the Blu-Ray readers will be more avaliable than it is now). PS3 however, is delving into new technology and because it's new, no one has mastered the tricks to this new technology. However, the PS3 will surely become better and better over time, there's no doubt about that.

The Wii can't even compete on this field because it's playing on a totally different field. The 360 and the PS3 is a graphics battle while the Wii is going for a new idea.

Well I was going to get DMC4 for the PS3 but when I heard it was coming out for the 360 I decided not to get one,yeah I know you're gonna be like what about the games becides DMC4 and all those kind of things

Personally, I'm probably not going to get a Wii. I'll admit that I've only played 2 games, some random racing game and Wii sports, neither of which were much fun, but the idea of an "innovative new controller" doesn't sound too great to me. It might seem fun at first but 2 years later it will more likely than not end up like other similar controllers from Nintendo. Though, if the Wii is still getting awesome games and a lot of hype after we wait for it to cool down a bit, I'll probably pick one up, especially if it goes down to $200. Right now, though, it seems like it could be either a great console that revolutionizes the market, or the next Gamecube.

PS3 is the best Wii is fun at first but playing it at a pals house soon lost its WOW PS3 doent count on novelties and so should last longer

Yeah PS3 doesn't use novelties at all.

Depends on what your interests are. If you like next gen graphics and more mature games: get a ps3. If you like creative, more family friendly games that arent as pretty: get a wii.

Ok, this thread reeks of ignorant fanboyism. Technical standpoint, Wii wins for innovation. PS3 beat the Wii and 360 in raw power. The only reason people keep thiking that the 360 is more powerful is because the PS3 was just released a few months ago compared to almost 2 years with the 360. Wait for games like the new Ratchet and Clank, MGS4, and other to show PS3's power.

360 wins for it preestablished base of fans streaming over from the dying X-box to the thriving 360.

Case in point, all the consoles win in some aspect or another.It's really a matter of personal preference as what is selling better != which is better overall.

It's up to you as to decide whether the PS3 or Wii is better.

Recently, I walked in a store and saw that Wiis were still sold out while there were tons of PS3s left. That definitely should tell you something.
