Seriously. Console First Person Shooters are terrible. At LEAST play CS: Source, but preferably Q4, and above.
Why would anyone play Halo?

Why? It's fun.
Single player sucks, but LAN parties are fun as hell with Halo.Comment

Re: Why would anyone play Halo?
Halo is fun because of the gameplay and the wide variety of weapons they give you with each weapon has different skills you need to master. Plus it's just plain fun. CS and those other games are all the same, especially those war-like games. I never played CS but that game is good too. Halo is the best FPS game on consoles and CS is the best FPS on PC IMO.Comment

It's not fun. It's funny when weird **** happens and it usually tends to happen a lot when there are moar people.
Halo sucks by yourself.
Not looking forward to Halo 3 btw. The storyline and Halo 2 as a whole upset me a little.Status: Innactive Onehander

Re: Why would anyone play Halo?
Halo is, in fact, a real game. Therefore, you just said LAN parties on Halo are fun. Hahaha...
But, anyway. My opinion. I'm content (accidentally used wrong word before edit there) with Halo 2. I mean... why need multiple first person shooters games? It's just, like, finding different things to shoot... I don't care for real-life FPS games, because there can be no originality in the weapons.
LAN parties, Xbox Live... those are all really fun with Halo 2. Unless you're playing with people who won't stop insulting you or blah blah blah. Those people are annoying. You can meet nice people on there somtimes.
Blowing shi up alongside good friends... Ah, that can be so much fun. I like it more for the online play. Never really play campaign at all...Comment

Re: Why would anyone play Halo?
UT is fun too, don't forget it's practically Quake but better in some cases. Quake is classic though, Quake 3 Arena especially.
EDIT: Halo LAN parties SUCK. TOO MANY NERDS AHHHH!. I went to a LAN party expecting to have fun and I got raped all over and it sucked. Out of the 12 people there, there was 2-3 guys who are you typical nerds who work to buy games and master them and still live in their parents basement types..it sucked. I couldn't even enjoy myself..Last edited by -Fallen-; 03-25-2007, 09:12 PM.One of the original members of the xqsite + FFR community.

Re: Why would anyone play Halo?
The campaign on Halo 2 is God awful. But the Xbox live is amazing. I wasted a year of my life, doing nothing but playing that game.
It's fun to just trash talk the other team, even when you're winning/losing. I like to yell randomly, just because it makes it so much better.
So yeah, Halo 2 is a "real game ololo"Comment

UT is a relatively shallow compared to Quake 3 played competitively. Strafe-jumping ftw.UT is fun too, don't forget it's practically Quake but better in some cases. Quake is classic though, Quake 3 Arena especially.

Yelling obscurities like N[i]gger and stuff and all random **** is the best on Halo, I have to admit. One of the original members of the xqsite + FFR community.

Re: Why would anyone play Halo?
Halo2 has some of the better balance and implementation of weapons that I have ever seen. You can only compare it to GoldenEye on the N64 as far as multiplayer fun goes. There is a reason that nearly a million matches are logged each day online.
I have tried the CS thing over and over for months and it really never held a candle to Halo2 multiplayer.. It gets boring buying your weapons at the start of each round and then running around until everyone dies or the bomb goes off.
It's just retarded even talking about this subject. You like cupcakes, I like pizza. So what?
