Re: console fight... in 2 years
the 360 by far, they already have a kickass library, and they have the launch of halo 3 coming soon which looks even better than halo 2. PS3 really has no games, and sony's developing production money is sapped. i dont see the playstation 3 going anywhere. the wii is more of a wildcard as far as getting anywhere in this console race. they must make something very unique and awesome in order to get anywhere.Comment

I agree with your decision.the 360 by far, they already have a kickass library, and they have the launch of halo 3 coming soon which looks even better than halo 2. Metroid, Zelda, and brawl are going to bring the Wii very far in the console race. Nintendo won't screw up on the development of their major franchises, as they put a lot of time and money into it.
The Virtual console also must be getting Nintendo huge profits as well.Note to self Finish.Comment

Well, the SNES did outsell the PS3 on Amazon.com
I vote for the SNES also, though I really like the N64.Comment

Re: console fight... in 2 years
yeah, but you see Nintendo is a company that basically gets all of it's profit from its main franchises (mario, zelda, metroid) i mean sure the games look great, though on the otherhand xbox 360 not only has it's franchises of Halo, and Gears of War, it also has a crapload of 3rd party support. Meanwhile PS3 is getting terrible 3rd party support, ecspecially because no developer wants to put out ecslusives to a system that no one's gunna buy.Comment

Re: console fight... in 2 years
3rd party developers go where the money is (AKA, the largest install base of consoles).
DS has about 40,000,000 units sold to date. There are a LOT of DS games and it's only been out for two years. The DS has destroyed the PS2's numbers to date, selling over six million units more than the PS2 did two years into its life and still selling out to this day.
Wii has already tripled PLAYSTATION 3's throughput and is quickly approaching XBOX 360's. If Nintendo can up production, they can easily take the lead before even reaching a year after launch.
Do you think developers don't see this data? I mean, the average consumer can look this stuff up pretty easily, so it goes without saying that developers see a huge interest in Wii. People are saying there's a gaming drought for Wii right now, but apparently they're completely ignoring the competition and mislabeling a "drought". Wii is going to have at least one terrific game coming out every month of this year. I can't even name more than one game coming out for 360 or PS3 this year that will be worth it. Not to mention that system-sellers for those two consoles will probably end up on PC in a year. Also, all of these developers who were holding off to see if Wii would take off are now beginning work on their titles. At the same time, the first-party titles will be slowly making their way into the market. Six returning franchises this year alone: WarioWare, Mario, Metroid, Smash Bros., Paper Mario, and Mario Party. After that, we have Disaster, HAMMER, Pokemon, and Big Brain.
Yeah. Gaming drought. Watch out.Comment

Re: console fight... in 2 years
I'm sorry to say it, but I am a 'not-so-proud' owner of the Wii.
I wasted $250 and 8 hours of sleep to get the damn thing.
It's a very dissapointing system. The only thing I like about it is Wario Ware and buying classic games with Wii points.Comment
