I want to know if many people have access to frequent gaming tournaments. Where i live we have a gaming store called Play N' Trade where they hold 2 tournaments a month each with a different game until the cycle of games comes back. Winner gets about $50 in-store-credit and they get to go on to a region like deal with all of the other Play N' Trade stores in the state for a chance to win more money. They are generally free with the exception of the halo 2 tournament they are having on saturday which comes with a $10 fee (although i think the major reason they did that is to limit the number of players that come because usually a couple hundred people come) but because of this you get $500 in-store-credit and a fully payed for halo 3 when it comes out and if you win region then you get a $1500 plasma screen tv. In addition to this, they have better prices than gamestop. If anyone has a play n' trade near them i strongly suggest that you go there because if we could convince the company there is a possibility of national tournaments.
What i want to know is, are there other places where game tournaments are easy to join and participate in and if so which? Also, which tournaments have you played in and how far have you gotten?
