Some weak monster dropped those. Should I just sell them? I mean, I'm a long ways off from being able to wear them (I'm almost level 17) and they are relatively valuable.

I would keep them, because other variants have STR or also have DEX, but no more than that does. In other words, keep it because you'll wear it from level 35-40.

5/4/11/5 in both Scania and Bera. I wasn't pure Int on Scania, only semi-Lukless. I had 20 luk at 18 after having 5 from 1-15. I had 30 luk at 28 after having 20 from 18-26. Worked out pretty well for me. And I'm no longer pure Int on Bera either. I have 10 luk now, and it's gonna be +5 luk every level until 38.

Oh, and do you remember that spear I was talking about? He bought another 10%. It worked.

In case you guys suck and don't know, I have 3 names (5 if you count the Scania names I never use) on this game. If you see DiabloLoco, ChicaGuapa, or SenoritaFea walking around, that's me. They are (in order), a lvl 16 fighter, lvl 15 archer, and lvl 21 magician. If you wanna add me to your buddy list, at least PM me first to tell me who you are or I will reject the offer.

And if anybody is 20-30, I wanna PQ sometime to see what it's like....

Oh, and Squeek, in your opinion, at what point does it become worth it to buy those scrolls? Because they're like 25,000 and early on I buy new weapons a lot, but I know eventually I'll want to invest in those upgrades. When is a good time?

EDIT: I just looked at the other MS topic and Squeek said somethin about Beta servers still being around. How might I get to these servers (with lots more exp) so I can try out being a high level person?
So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.

He's hacking, I mean, what are the odds of getting a 1 out of 10,000 chance? Don't answer that, it's obviously .01%, but this shows that there is(literally) a 99.99% chance of him hacking.

He's not a hacker -.- Some people have passed 4/5 10% scrolls. Sure, the odds are low, but it's possible.

If he were really hacking it would be +7.

Oh, and Squeek, in your opinion, at what point does it become worth it to buy those scrolls? Because they're like 25,000 and early on I buy new weapons a lot, but I know eventually I'll want to invest in those upgrades. When is a good time?

First of all, the scrolls you are thinking of are 100% scrolls you can buy in shops. 60% and 10% scrolls you have to find or buy from other people. They are expensive. As a magician, I would recommend using 60% scrolls for the first time on the level 45 staff or the level 48 wand.

Speaking of which, my Arc Staff is +5 with 5 working 60% scrolls. It is 70 magic attack and +5 int. Someone else scrolled it and I bought it for 5 million. My cape is +6 int with 4 100% and 1 60% scroll working (5/5 worked). I scrolled that myself. My gloves are +3, my shoes are +2, my hat is +2, my robe is +4. At level 58, I get a new robe (I've already bought it) that is +5 int. At level 60, I get new gloves and boots that do +3 each (already made them). Therefore, I am an INTWHORE.

Oh, and Beta doesn't have that insane EXP rate yet. I'll let you all know when it does.

So I went to the MapleGlobal forums. Another reminder that these forums > all other forums, but I did find one interesting thing.

One person said it was the boss at the end of the Ossyria (sp?) party quest that isn't here yet. I still cannot comprehend ever being that powerful.....

Oh thats just Zakum! Zakum is the most powerful creature in the game! let me post some post form another forum!

So, i was thinking, if we all somehow get to 70+, what can we do? Well.... Take on Zakum

Zakum is a boss monster, summoned only by the bravest (or stupidest) at the end of the lvl 50 PQ.

The PQ involves finding various keys and maps....
The prize you need the prize of the 1st part and 2nd part of the 50 PQ and 30 gold zombie teeths to summon Zakum.

Next you get to the Entrance to the jump quest to get to Zakum

do a few jumps here and there...

                      and finaly get across.

This is the entrance to the temple were you summon zakum.

                      Profile of a killer

                      QUOTE
To fight Zakum in the most efficient manner possible , you would actually need all the classes at their third job, forming at least 5-6 parties , having a total of 30 to 40 players in order to secure victory.A priest would be invaluable, healing, dispelling and opening up a portal for players who have been killed to reenter to continue to fight Zakum again.

Zakum itself is immune to ICE FREEZE, POISON, MESO EXPLOSION and any status ailments (His arms are affected by meso explosion.). But the monsters that he summons can be affected by these ailments.

Things to be expected. YOu will be cursed, weakened , blinded. So you need priest to cast dispel for you.

Whenever Zakum casts PHY ATTK , MAG ATTK , MAG DEF and PHY DEF UP, you will need the 3 different warrior classes, KNIGHT , CRUSADER AND DRAGONKNIGHT to cast POWER CRASH, MAGIC CRASH and ARMOR CRASH to nullify his boosting spells.

It is however possible to kill him without all those classes and all those people, it takes a little longer though, about an hour more, but it has been done

                      Here's how Zakum attacks:

                      MAIN BODY:

Physical contact will give 7-8K DMG
Summon His UNDERLINGS 6 at a time til he's dead.
Curse the entire PARTY , HP MP reduced to 1.
Able to self recover and heal his underlings.
Spew Fire 5-6 times (can cause dizziness )

ARM of RECOVERY: (suggest that you take down this one first)

Able to heal itself every 30 secs for 50-55K HP
Able to cast MACATTK , MAGDEF,PHYATTK and PHYDEF UP.

                      ARM of strength:

Full Party Attack : 2-2.5K dmg per hit
Single player Attack: 3K dmg per hit

                      ARM of FIRE/POISON elemental:

Cast METOR SHOWER : 2-2.5K dmg per hit
Cast the REAL POISON: HP loss at 800/SEC

                      ARM of ICE/LIT elemental:
Casts MAJOR ICICLE STRIKE from the ground to entire party : 2-2.5K dmg per hit

Cast LIGHNING to the central and right side of the map: 2.5-3K dmg per hit

                      ARM of HOLY elemental:

                      Holy Strike : 1.8 - 2.5k dmg per player(ignores Magical DEF)

ARM of DARK elemental Should be taken out first)

Curses the entire party with ailments like blindness, weak, MUTE,
and can cause HP to go down to 1500 and MP to 500.

Zakum has masses of HP, coupled with its healing arm... hes a **** to fight. But his drops are worth it. And the level ups he gives are astoundings, giving millions of XP points.

And the drops he gives when you finaly slay him!!!

Here Zakum is dropping most level 90 weapons
(i see a level 90 2handed sword, level 90 bow, 1h blunt, level 90 LUK dagger, 1h axe, level 90 xbow, 2h blunt, 2h axe, level 90 STR dagger, level 88 wand, level 90 spear, 2h sword again)

missing from this copied post are thousands upon thousands of zakum pictures and awesome pics of people over level one hundred!

Zakum (Jakum) drops every single level 90 weapon when he dies. However, you have to be about that high of a level to kill him.

Other people go there at 120 or so to level off his arms, then die. The lightning attack kills them anyway.

However, do note that the images of people killing him are from the kMS test server. That's the one with massive EXP rates and drop rates.
