Can't you only get one helmet anyway? Cuz seems in the Scania kills people just grab the helmets in a mad dash, and people are like "ah maybe next time, eventually nobody else will be able to get them" or something. It's like quest items, they only let you get one, unless you drop it.

Or is that only with certain zakum helmets? =\

PS: IMO, the helmet is fugly as hell. I would wear it for like, forever, though. So good =O!

Back from Japan =D Well... I guess a lot happened the 3 weeks I was gone. Took a very very long time to read. So first off, congrats to keeto on 3rd job, you will pass me very soon =) Also, I wish you the best of luck bandit and oni with your whole account thing and keeping your stuff safe. I don't really plan on playing much for a while just because I have a ****load of stuff to do to prepare for school (summer reading =/). I might get 80 by the end of summer but definitely by the end of september (actually, maybe not since I'm taking quite a few hard classes junior year >.< Japanese parents =/). Japan was fun and I'll bump my old thread later when I can upload the pics.

EDIT: I think I'm going to start up on my fire mage again. He has slightly messed up stats but fire mages look fun, especially since I enjoy telecasting a lot. Guess what that means? I'M COMING TO BERA >=O IGN: Funnycam. Err I'm not sure how much I'll play but it is a nice break from my ranger haha.

They look fun, but they really aren't.

Well, I consider Archers down there too, so if you enjoy archers, you may enjoy them <.<

EDIT: And I've been practicing jumpcasting a lot, but not levelling. Now I can do a reverse jumpcast almost 100% of the time(jump back in one direction, shoot fire arrow in the direction opposite you're jumping). It's good if you can do it repeatedly, because you can move back from an enemy that isn't getting knocked back, or you can jump over an enemy and still kill the one behind it. It's good if you're trapped in a mob, which happens sometimes at Jetis if you're not careful. Mainly, it's just fun. I guess teleport is better, but I mean, it's a hell of a lot of fun to jumpcast, in my opinion <.<

Seriously, it's like why sins jump and cast, even when they don't need to. It's really ****ing fun, rofl.

Archers are very fun in 3rd job, I'm actually quite glad I stuck with my ranger. Fire mages are hopefully the same way since the underdog always comes out on top in the end. Fire mages are fun to me just because I love to tele around doing a ton of damage at once. Sorta the opposite of an archer where you jump around and puppet, then snipe... fire mages actually dodge which makes it at least a little more exciting.

I'm working on my sin now (yay) so that when I get my priest back I can fund him and get like a 10 attack wg and a few ilbis. =]

If I may interject: It is my experience that grinding as a fire mage sucks, but playing the game is actually fun.

That's true of most classes though, I'd imagine. It's always the grinding that sucks.

I think pretty much all classes are boring after awhile. Grinding my white knight sucks, afro and oni both have said that clerics suck ass, MM and jay both I think have said they hate training their wizs, and richie has said training his sin is boring as hell. Don't know about cam but he seems to like his ranger now that it's 3rd job, but I've heard bowman before level 70 suck.

The game is boring, simple and true.

Indeed they are. The 3rd job skills are way fun. Mist is awesomely powerful, especially once you really learn how to use it. And once I get maxed amp, I'll love dishing out 10k damage like it's nothing with every shot. =D

EDIT AFTER KEETO: Thing is, doing anything repetitively will eventually get boring. Because leveling takes so long, every class eventually hits a wall of doing the same thing over and over for just a little more damage the next level. Some people can stand doing this for a long time (the kinds of people that get all their guys in an offline RPG to the max level for no reason or find every hidden thing in every game they play because they have to get 100% completion!!) while most people get fairly bored. It's not that any one class is boring, it's that repetition is. That's why I make other characters and play other games once MS gets boring. If you treat it like a job or something you have to do, it'll get more boring much faster. I find I level fastest when I'm playing other games when I'm not MSing. If all I ever do is MS I get sick of it. I bug you guys about GOGOGO THIRD JOB ZOMG and stuff but really, if you're not having fun, don't play the game. Go do something else, take a month off, I don't give a damn, but I bet that after a while you will want to come back and play some more.

Also, just because training is boring doesn't mean you can't have fun with the game. Screw around and help newbs and stuff just for the hell of it. Even if you're messing around killing weak crap with newbs, you're at least killing things and getting exp, so you're making some progress. I go back and fight weak things sometimes because it's safer and they have less mdef so I can see my massive damage, and Tee screws around with people in town all the time. I think things like that are the only reasons the higher levels out of us haven't quit yet. We keep the game interesting.

Hence why I loved my hermit. Lots of jumping, FJing, and dodging skills. I played on a friend's sniper when he was 83 a few weeks back and it was like arrrrrrrrrgh I hate not being able to move easily around. And when I shoot I can't just move almost instantly and jump around and shiiiiit. I'm actually very skilled with my hermit. At grims, if you time it just right, can still shoot while in the middle of a mob. ;D
