I just started playing, and I don't think I'm doing that bad. eb did help me out with making sure my dex was good enough to be archer though.

In case you wouldn't know, my character's name is Afrobean. I'm usually chilling in Bera 20.

Ok, apparently some people are still screwing up their characters (GG. You know who you are) and said I should explicityl state the following:

DO NOT EVER USE AP ON ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE TWO STAT POINTS FOR YOUR JOB.

Warriors: STR and DEX
Archers: DEX and STR
Thieves: LUK AND DEX
Mages: INT AND LUK

Most important stat comes first. Learn what it takes to use your new equipment.

Warriors do not need Dex for almost every item. Dex is for Accuracy. Most cap it at 50 or 60.
Archers have a fun little formula. For Dex, it's level x 3 + 10. For Str, it's level +5
Thieves are level x 2 for Dex.
Mages are level +3 (most of the time) with luk. You should only add Luk when necessary for new stuff.

Even so.

Some warriors don't use any Dex. They are crazy and / or rich. They can outpower any other warrior by losing the ability to actually hit enemies.
Some archers put a lot more into Str. They are just crazy. It does raise your minimum damage a little bit, but it's better to just wait until Mastery.
Some thieves don't use any Dex. They are actually rather smart, assuming they are an Assassin since their primary attack is based solely on Luk.
Some magicians don't use any Luk. They are also smart. With the right items and some really good common-class equipment, it can be done. More Int = more power for a mage.

The unstandard builds are usually more expensive, except in the case of the magician if they become a Cleric, since defense is irrelevant for those dudes. Just be a normal person.

My character is level 16 as of now. I know I need to buy 300MP mana potions rather than 100MP mana potions and I will when I run out of normal <.<

EDIT: Time to put up the faggot list:
1)***ZeRoEnders(Lacks Maplestory logic)(Incompetent) for helping a KSer. Including saying "You noob, if you were level 60 like him THEN you might be half as good as him and be able to hit 100 on a snail."
2) Chimerageist- KSed and stalked me.
3) DyeGuy/Thiefzzx(his main)- A complete asshole, I don't want to list everything he did.
4) Watskebizzy- Defamed me because I didn't give him free mana potions.
5) 0rgasmo(starts with zero ends with the letter o)- A level 50ish Cleric who KSed me until I changed channals in order to get my hunting space.
6) AzNxRobber- Invades my hunting space then tells me not to KS him, tries to report me, repeatedly curses at me.

If you walk by these people give them a "F@CKING NOOB" for me will you?
