I do a lot more damage with my bow because of crit shot and arrow blow. I got up to like 180 earlier, but I can't even touch 100 with anything else.

The problem isn't the max damage, it's the min damage. After that 180, you might do a 2.

That's why people use melee weapons until they can get Mastery.

First of all, I'd just like to say:

Probably 2 in 25 archers I see (and I don't see many over level 30) use something other than a bow. Seriously, how can you even venture to say that? You may be knowledgeable in some parts of this game, but things concerning archers are NOT one of those parts.

Anyway, so I saw on some other forum a guy mentioned that every time he leveled up he'd explore a new area to see how far he could get before dying, since he wouldn't lose any exp. I noticed I was close to 21, and Jake said he just levelled so I was like "LET'S GO SEE THE MUSHMOM!!" So off we went. We saw some...interesting statues...



We finally got to the right spot and Mushmom wasn't there. I dunno why, may be one of you more experienced kids does, though. May be because we really weren't supposed to be there! XD



So we decided if we couldn't hunt a Mushmom, we might as well dive headfirst into the Ant Tunnel and see if we could get to the Jr. Balrog at the very very bottom. So we headed off from Hene. On our way, we stopped for some site-seeing and golem-smashing.



Notice how I like to bark orders but not actually do anything.



So I finally jump down to, uh, help out. And oh, how great the accomplishments of teamwork can be!



AND THEY FALL TO OUR MIGHTY POWER! (and definitely not the power of that level 30-something Hunter doing arrow bomb that I conveniently didn't get a screenshot of >_>)



This great accomplishment gave us much confidence. So much confidence that Jake stayed down there to take on the golems as they respawned. Smart move, buddy.



So we finally get down and dirty, and Jake has his first run-in with evil eyes where he's actually able to do some damage. I got a few screenshots to commemorate this moment. (and in case you notice that sort of thing, no I didn't use that many red potions. Jake kept dying so I gave him like, half of mine)




So we finally get to Ant Tunnel Park and stock up on some fried chicken (when Jake said he needed food, somebody gave him fried chicken and I called them racist for assuming us black kids would want it). We also talked with a party that was passing through. One person was very eager to show us her "1-2 step" and began dancing around. I instinctively yelled "SHAKE IT LIKE A SALT SHAKER!" and began jittering back and forth. Within moments, we had a dozen people shaking it some sort of MS-style salt shaker. I <3 my new sn.



So anywho, we meet a nice level 26 person and she parties up and joins us. As a team, we whoop ass all the way to the evil eye caves!



But alas, I didn't hit Delete nearly fast enough and got distracted by the heat of battle. Jake didn't last much longer after that.



And in case you may be wondering, I'm listening to Lil John right now. My sn would be that, but it was taken. ;_; UPDATE: Salt Shaker is now playing. :P

But I strongly suggest you try something along these lines when you next level up. MS can get boring, but not when you're hunting Jr. Balrogs 50 levels before you ought to.

I'm ready to hit 30 this morning and finally job adv with my Archer. After I'll whore some ore and sell it or level up my Magician like crazy.

If I remember correctly a long time ago in the first Maple Story topic, you were raging on about how awesome the gameplay is and the sprites are.

eb, when I went deep into the ant tunnel I got through the evil eye cave. I got to a place with those dinosaur things. So I got scared and tried to scroll out of there, but they killed me too fast.

Also, I'm level 21 now and I'm looking to go on a PQ sometime soon, so I think we should get a bunch of us together. So if you aren't level 21 yet, get there. If you're already level 21, don't go past whatever the limit for the PQ is.

EB, I'm level 13 and I went down there. I stocked up on fried chicken and just ran and jumped over the monsters, taking hits, regenrating health. I got all the way to the tunnell without light by myself, I died of course, but it was funny, everyone was like, wtf, you shouldn't be down here, go away, lol'ed, it took a while, though, I got stuck down in Sleepywood and had to buy a reutrn scroll to perion

On a note about getting to the Balrog:

A) You are NOT getting past the Minotaurs, much less the Cargos. However, if you should ever get to the minotaurs, be very proud of yourselves and take pictures. They're much cooler than the Balrog anyways.

B) DARKSIGHT IS YOU BEST FRIEND.

I would have lasted a lot longer if I was just trying to run through, but we were killing Evil Eyes and I didn't mind getting the exp, but then I got distracted holding down ctrl and didn't notice my health drop that low. The funny thing is that right there is the first time I had died all night, whereas Jake died like 4 times on the pigs and half a dozen more times before we got to Ant Tunnel Park.
