Show me a motherboard that is soldered to the case it's in, or I won't believe you. Seriously, solder isn't very strong (at least not any solder I've ever seen) and you'd need a crapton of it to keep the motherboard attached. Plus most cases that I'm aware of don't have exposed metal parts to solder it to. So yes, maybe it's possible to solder a motherboard on, but I refuse to believe that any company that sells completed units has things in the case that way.

Back on topic: I hear some rumblings about private servers and source code and whatnot. Little bird tells me that at least one of the groups making a private server is going to release their source code when they're done (under the GPL or whatever, probably). AND LET ME TELL YOU WHAT, I would go to town with some MS source code. Ya know all those times when I say that if I were in charge that things would be way better? Oh we'd put that to the test, for sure.

Odin released their work to other people. Private servers are opening up slowly, but they are out there.

In my day, level 48s couldn't even ENTER El Nath dungeon.

And we had to walk uphill both ways to Zakum. In the snow. Without Snowshoes.

Ok, so we did have snowshoes the whole time, but still.

Lol, I just used a DM scroll. Been lvling there since like 44? Getting my ZHelm tonight from Eternity. They tried last night but 2 noob ass guilds crashed the run and like half of the attackers dc'd. So theyre going again tonight =|

Publicly? My understanding was that they were still working out the kinks, and once that was done they'd do a public release. If a download link for the source code is floating around somewhere I'd love to get it. D=

Odin isn't bad.

If you have any respect for the game, you won't try LocalMS. After playing that, I can't even consider playing 8x exp.

The game feels slow and grindy at 1,000x EXP. It doesn't bode well for 8x.

I think the LocalMS guys disabled registration, though, so Odin might be the only option now.

Damit. MS servers are breaking down. Odin <--> Local All hackers and bad server...

JS is dying, Gokumu is still in development, doesn't look like Odin's going to release source now after what Paul did...

I'm just going to stick to GMS lol

My cleric in Local hit 120.

Then the server crashed.

I still don't have a better wand than a Mithril (level 28). I'm still wearing a Wizard Robe (also 28).

Though I have the 90 shoes, 80 gloves, and 60 hat!

Edit : By the way, they got all the maps working now, so even Leafre is out. Still no 3rd or 4th jobs though.

Edit 2: Started an archer. Less than an hour later he's ready for third job. Sick. Also archers are awesome <3

It's not worth making any class that doesn't have a 2nd job AOE in this server. Bandits and Assassins suck. Stars are rare as hell and Bandits are good single-target DOTers, which isn't worth **** in a server like this.

So, I started playing Odin MS and ideally, I'd like a cleric, bandit, and a xbowman, not necessarily in that order though. I'm planning to make my cleric when ludi releases because frankly, I don't want to train on the same mobs all the way to 70 like I did in gMS. So I decided to start out with a bandit because I know they train on a different mob set. Leveling him was a pain until about level 37, when I switched to evil eyes, and then whoosh, I was leveling once every 20-30 minutes.

Local is fun.

Got my archer up to 120. Deleted my archer.

Deleted my Cleric. Re-made it pure int. It's 130 now. Has about 3,500 more MP than my other Cleric. I'm glad I remade it.

Made a Spearman. He's 135 now. Busy collecting gear. I have a Fairfrozen, the level 80 gloves and boots, the level 70 top and bottom, and the mark of the beta hat... really got to find the hat now. But Wolf Spiders are so much fun! 1,200,000 exp per kill?! I don't even have to try!

Oh yeah and they drop Ilbis. In Local, those are worth two billion. I have a set, but I'd rather they go to the Assassin I will be making when I tire of the spearman. I don't know why people bother selling or scrolling things anyway. It really just doesn't matter. The max meso count is just over two billion, and getting that much is easy if you care to pick up meso. Some monsters drop multiple million per kill, and you can mob dozens of them all at once. Wolf Spiders, again, are a great example of this. I just drop things for other people if they ask and I happen to have it.
