    wii recalls? NoOOOO

yes its sad truth for me Wiis everywhere are getting shipped back because they had a "problem" with the remote strap i just cant think about how u can break somethin while wearing the srap (unless they never wear it then its thier fault) well i guess this re call have been goin on for a couple of weeks i guess (www.wiihaveaproblem.com check this site out to learn more about damages by using the Wii) oh well either way im not givin back my Wii i worked hard for it waiting in line for countless hours until the day finally came. oh well since im on a Wii topic might as well talk about it more

i seen people put cool skins on it like a NES lookin Wii ( it was pretty sick) hmm looks like i dont use the stand anymore ever since i started to play my GCN games on it. The Wii sling backs were kind cool ( i got one but it was the normal one i wanted the Legend of Zelda sling bag) but the skins for the remote were kinda expensive.... i wonder if anyone uses the weather channel anyways.. well part of my new years resolution is to play the Wii more ( im always getting side tracked by playin Elite Beat Agents) i tought it was pretty cool how u can use the Wii to play Gamecube games whats even cooler is that u can buy old school games online and play them on ur Wii ( i havent tried it yet i still have to buy those Wii points card) well i guess thats all have have to say about the Wii i will close this with a qoute from Shigeru Miyamoto, Hiroshi Yamauchi, and Satoru Iwata:

"Nintendo is the company which makes the most innovative products. I am not sure that I would be able to make games like that elsewhere. At Nintendo I can make the games which I want." - Shigeru Miaymoto

"The DS represents a critical moment for Nintendo's success over the next two years. If it succeeds, we rise to the heavens, if it fails, we sink into hell." - Hiroshi Yamauchi about Nintendo's future

"Our competitors are always saying that Nintendo is just for children. To counter that, what we really need to do is explain to customers and potential customers [that we do not just make games for kids]." - Satoru Iwata ( Comentary: Resident Evil an example for a game not for kids - Jed)

Umm there is no recall...? They are sending out all the new Wii-motes with new straps and you can place a free order on the site for new straps: 1-4 of them. You just enter you console serial # and voila. I already received mine. Many people have received 2 packages of what they asked for. All free, mind you. The original straps do work for their intended purpose; however, Nintendo quickly realized that people are stupid and need stronger straps.

Since I've never had a problem with the strap in even the most violent of frustrating moments in my gaming history with the console, I decided it wasn't worth it even if it's free and I don't have to send anything in.

It's not a serious problem at all. People are just stupid.

Of the same vein of this topic: my dad keeps telling me stupid ****. He said he saw a wii commercial where the player spun the wiimote over their head while holding onto the cord. He says that the problems with people throwing their wiimote and damaging things is because you're supposed to play the game like that. He won't even ****ing listen when I say "no, the problem is that the wrist strap is so weak it can break, and actually, it wouldn't even be a problem if people weren't retarded and just HELD ONTO THE WIIMOTE."

i seen people put cool skins on it like a NES lookin Wii
This actually sounds pretty cool, but if it was me, I would break open an NES and remove it's contents and put the wii inside the empty shell.

They didn't recall anything all they did was allow you to order their thicker wiimotes straps for free and just tell you to exchange them.

It really makes me laugh when you hear people talk about the wiimote. I don't know if they are just stupid or the media is putting it way out of hand but people are actually acting like as if the TV smashing is a feature.

"Man don't buy the Wii, it will smash your TV".

The Wii isn't going to suddenly fly into the TV as if it was some ghostly presence or programed to destroy all TV's. Jesus christ.

I don't understand why people have this problem anyways. Maybe they are as suggested, just stupid. I don't even play with the wrist strap on and I've never dropped or thrown it at all.

Even when I got super frustrated, I never have let go of the Wii-mote. People are just retarded sometimes.

I don't see why people are letting the remotes go. I mean you don't just drop any other controller or remote so just because the Wii has a strap doesn't mean it's ok to let it go. People are ****ing idiots. I don't play with the strap on and I don't let go of the remote and I have never had a problem. Morons shouldn't be aloud to play video games.
