Videogames allow me to set small and insignificant goals for myself. I think that's all it does besides waste my time though. But video games are so fun. I couldn't live without them. <3
Well the only video game that has inspired me is DDR which has made me want to keep exercising and staying healthy and helping those I care about stay fit too.
Another game was Phoenix Wright. The whole new concept of being a lawyer fascinated me, and now I'm greatly interesting in considering becoming a lawyer as a profession.
This reminded me of when i played Super Mario 64. The whole new concept of saving castles by collecting magical stars and wearing hats that can make you fly fascinated me, and now I'm greatly interesting in considering becoming Mario as a profession.
uhh seriously?
I guess they can get you interested in programming and how the games that you play are made and how they function, or maybe music composition like a bunch of people said if you really like the soundtrack to a game or something.
Rollercoaster Tycoon and Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 (along with LEGOs but not as much as RCT) got me interested in architecture and design. I can't go into a building without looking at how everything is arranged, from the buildings to the furniture arrangement. I also look at Google Maps from time to time just to see how a city is arranged because I find it fascinating in an indescribable way. I don't plan on being an architect as a career, though.
I have been thinking about something in law inforcement since I started playing games like True Crime. Of course programming has always been an interest since I started playing games. It really is fascinating how an idea can flourish into something great or even change a person.
