I'm not sure if there was another thread on this, I used the search o.0.

Does anyone play it? I'd love to get into tournaments and such, but there is no one that plays really in my area, just a few friends. Which character are you best with?

Everybody is too busy going crazy about SSBB to think about SSBM. I personally like mewtwo and roy. Good with them? Not so much. All of my friends are Ganondorf whores, so I'm put up against quite a force anyway. What about you?

If you're kinda new to SSBM(and by that I mean you've never even heard of the tiers), I suggest you use a faster character to deal with Ganondorf.

Fox and Marth would work pretty well.

Fox doesn't win much MLG.

It's usually Ken(Marth) or DSF(Sheik).

In fact, I rarely ever see Fox win a high-skill tournament unless there are no good Marth or Sheik players.

if we are talking about a tourney with a sheik or marth then yes you would be correct because you are talking about the 2 most broken characters in that game. besides, most people dont know how to waveshine anyway and it only works on bigger characters or characters against a wall. obviously this doesnt apply to marth and sheik.

PS i primarily play marth.

STOP RIGHT THERE. It's hard for a Fox to win that way. Really. If you don't know how to fight it, you're gone, but every strategy has holes, and Shining doesn't exactly give Fox the upper hand in defence. His reflector has a lot of priority but--oh, I didn't see Tosh's post. Nevermind then.

I do best with Ness, Link, Kirby, Ice Climbers, Mr. Game and Watch, Zelda, and Samus.

Marth, Roy, Link, Samus, and probably Fox are the best people that i play with...its so fun! Can't wait till SSBB come out!

I play marth for 1v1, but Roy against multiple opponents. I need to find out about this wavedashing/waveshining thing, since I've never found a highly skilled player to play against, so I've never even known about them.

I was never really into SSBM too much.

I mean, I don't even own a Gamecube, but I have played quite a bit of SSBM. I just don't like the style of it.

And they nerfed my Pikachu

So I'll stick to my N64 copy. I still play it regularly too.
