I might as well post what I already have down in my list (most are subject to change)
10: Bowser (Mario 64)
9: Sigma (Megaman X)
8:Ganon (Zelda OOT)
7: Mother Brain (Super Metroid)
6:Culex (Mario RPG)
5:The End (MGS3)
4:Sephiroth (KH or KH2) {Might remove or replace with FF7}
3:Magus (Chrono Trigger) {Might move back more}

Thats it so far. keep posting your nominees and I will think them over.

Bump Ganon higher, add P. Mantis at around 7, Make it a top 20 list so we can add Vega w/o feeling bad, and give the #1 spot to Seph (every list I ever saw had one thing in common: SEPHIROTH MADE THE TOP 3)


and I still think Dural and Akuma should get on there, at least at #20,19

I thought Ganon was a terrible disappointment, to be honest.

You just shoot him a few times, then you run around a tower, then you slash him in the back.

Nothing special.

The best part about the final Ganon fight on Ocarina of Time was the song they played.

Probably one of the best boss battle themes I've ever heard.

Only reason its not a top 20 is that i dont have enough to make it a top 20, but with all these ideas I'll definitely consider expanding it. Ill prolly get back to the article later, considering i have a theo essay due by friday and i have been working on my newest story alot lately (had a recent inspiration for a plot, and just finishing Negima volume 3 gave me a few more....) so the update might take a while.

It can't have been that great. I don't even remember the music that was played.

Wait, actually, I think I do.

And I don't think that music is that great. Maybe I'm thinking of the wrong boss battle music or something. I'll need to watch a video on Youtube sometime soon.

Only thing i thought was great about the Ganon fight was that it was epic, but aside from that it was easy as hell and left me dissapointed because it was actually the easiest fight in the game (not taking into account Gannondorf).

The hardest boss for me was...
Wargraf? (Wargrief? Spelling correct?) Leader of the Death Corps in FFTactics was sooo gay, especially if you had to solo him, 1v1 w/ Ramza. Luckily, I beat the game.. ;_; and the 2nd last stage in FFTactics was gay too, one w/ colored chocobos ranging from red to purple (I think) and a guy w/ a gun who can shoot for 1/3-1/2 of your life in the game ;_;
The last boss in FFTactics was easy cause I was 99 w/ everybody =p


IMO, that game was the hardest for me ;_;

My Opinion of difficulty (games) ranging from hardest to least

1. Final Fantasy Tactics
2. Call of Duty 1-2
3. Kung-Fu (a game on NES which was gay, 5 levels and they were hard -_-)
4. Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2 (don't ask)
5. Splinter Cell (now I had trouble with 1 and 2, didn't play 3... 4 - Double Agent, not as much in Single player than multi)
6. Secret of Mana
7. Secret of Evermore (damn, if you didn't upgrade your weapons, you wouldn't survive, and the FOREST is ****ing hard)
8. Chrono Trigger (this wasn't as hard, even though I had got to level 67ish, probably only some bosses, including magus and that huge boss after that stupid queen sends you down)
9. Devil May Cry 1, yes, including that stupid spider boss in the beginning, I didn't know how to beat it until now.
10. Grandia II, I wasn't really paying attention to this story, although I beat it? ;_; damn some bosses were hard but I got so lucky ^^
11. Legend of Dragoon (was it? you know, the one with Dart)
12. Kingdom Hearts 2 (wasn't hard at all ;_;, only when you fight Xenmas for the last time)
13. Kingdom Hearts 1 (haha, this one was a bit easier than KH2)
14. Metal Gear Solid: Sons of Liberty (easy for a while, gets harder if you don't pay attention)
15. Metal Gear Solid 3: Damn this was easy
16. Daxter (psp, yeah, pretty easy if you get used to it, a little hard getting used to it)
17. Balloon Fever (never really played this that much but you know what I'm getting to right?)
18. Okami (easssyyy, but I love this game, I haven't completed it but what I'm doing right now seems so easy)
19. Tekken 5 (stupid Jinpachi was it? Not really sure of the last last boss' name but he was a bit hard)
20. Final Fantasy Tactics Advance: HOLY **** this was so easy I just cried my head off (literally), I recommend you NOT to play this game if you are NOT new to FFTactics or somewhat a RTS (right?) game.

Mahjix, don't try and stand out by using different text settings than the norm. It's really, really hard to read.

Anyway, I agree that I-no is ridiculously hard the first time, but after having learned how to play GGX2 on a pretty high level, she's not so bad. I can beat here with everyone relatively easily now, even characters I'm not so good with, at least on Normal. She's still not a problem on the hardest difficulty if I'm using Venom or Potemkin.

However, the challenge mode? That is quite possibly the most difficult challenge for any game ever made.

Arg, Jinpachi. I HATE JINPACHI!! he was so cheap. he wasnt even a real boss to beat just some random "can you kill me 2 sec.?" thing. I rather give the #1 spot to Katze from Bushido Blade then to Jinpachi (I really like BB, but to be honest, Katze would be like #71 on my list)

6. Secret of Mana

This was an awesome game, but I wouldn't say it was hard. All you really have to do for most bosses is spam your magic, and for the final just use the sword magic, then attack. Of course, it could be because I spammed and levelled up my magic on whatever random thing i saw that moved.

I agree a lot with Squeek and his mention of Giacomo, Ayme, and Folon. I also agree with Garr, Meredy, and Farah Oersted. (Why is it the three team bosses are so much worse?)

Yea, Secret of Mana's difficulty really depended on strategy. Being the hack and slash fan I am, I mostly just used magic for healing puropses, making some of the bosses hell, not to mention many of the later bosses used the same cheap tactics you described. Final boss was easy as hell though, which was kind of dissapointing. Lucid barrier, Sword Magic, hack and slash, rinse repeat. I barely took any damage at all.

Windwaker Ganon was awesome. The meaning behind the phrase he says about the wind is also quite cool about death. He knows he is going to die in his battle aganist link but he can't really do anything about it so he just keeps fighting to his inevitable and predicted end. And the fact he gets a sword right in the forehead 8)
