that is true for the most part. However, Dural can be beaten by knowing her/it's can strings so I dont think she's cheap
And as for not knowing Akuma, chances are you know him from one game or another, here's a pic to fresh up your memory.Oh and add Rugal to the list (at least #20 or something)
I know Akuma now, yea, he was tough, but not rly tough enuf for the cut, but some of your other ideas are possibilities. no clue who Rugal is tho, gonna look it up.
The reaper is the happiest being of all, because death is plentiful in this realm....
Rugal is from the older King of Kighters (94-98) The only pic of him on wikipidia makes him look stupid, so dont go off it
Yeah, Akuma's not the baddest boy on the block, but he was SO cheap on SFII Hyper....btw did anyone think of Geese Howard? not as cool as Rugal but still good.
The hardest boss I ever had to fight was (don't luagh) Mewtwo from Pokemon Puzzle League (N64). It took me about 200 or more tries to beat him (the count only went up to 99), and that don't even count how many times I had to fight the semi boss (Gary) before getting to him (I couldn't just continue to fight Mewtwo, I had to fight Gary first). I think it's one of the most frustrating games out there.
(Oh btw, it was set on the hardest difficulty, and now when I play that game he don't even last a good 1:00. I'm one of the best out there... I seem to think so. I still can't find a half of a challenge in that game. Oh well)
In fighting games, I-no from Guilty Gear X2.
...OMG THAT B*TCH WAS HARD! I was only able to beat her with Dizzy and sometimes Milla Rage. I think I only beat her twice with Venom but OMG... even on the easiest difficulty setting. I don't know how people are that good. I thought I was decent... guess not.
Mahjix, i TOTALLY agree with you on I-no, she is SO DAMN HARD!!!! only thing harder was beating Dizzy in Testament's 3rd story mode ending without resorting to insta-kill (but since i suk as Testament, i had to cop-out and u se instant kill, but even that took me a good 30+ tries to pull off).

-EDIT-
You think that's hard? Try that Mission thingy where it's like 200 that you go through (I can't remember, my game was stolen so it's been a while) and each one is harder... fight the last one. I don't remember who you fight but I know that I barely got a hit in. The person was a gold ex black character or something like that and they had their bar full and you couldn't use any specials. THAT was hard.
Yep, tried mission mode also, just saying out of the things ive actually beaten, Dizy in Testament ending 3 was hardest. lol. I got enuf missions to unlock Justice and then said screw it, i dont thave the patience for this...

I know its somewhere in this thread. Still looking over all ur suggestions and doing research on the ones i dont know about though, so it might take a while to get an updated list.

Holy crap, I totally forgot about fighting games when I was making my list.
Rugal. Rugal many times over. KAISA- *grunts* WEI-BU! Also, the dude from King of Fighters 2001 is quite possibly the most difficult fighting game boss of all time and deserves some massive style points.
Do you mean Igniz or is it Zero.

YOU CAME TO THE GARBAGE BIN LOOKING FOR SERIOUS ADVICE, YOU HAVE TWO OPTIONS.
#1 GO DIE IN A CAR FIRE.
#2 IF YOU HAVEN'T REALIZED IT ALREADY, YOUR ONLY REAL OPTION IS SUICIDE!
Ok. You fight them earlier in the game. 3 on 3. Took me about an hour or two. It was hard. I had a character die almost every other round.
Being that it's an RPG, they don't die at the end of the fight. Of course not. They escape.
Later in the game, you fight them again. It took me about an hour or two again to win. The game removes one of your strongest abilities in the game that only randomly shows up 10% of the time if you manage a full combo. Not much of a loss.
They thought it was a loss, because they made you do the entire battle over again with that ability re-enabled. That was another two hours. No break in-between.
Oh, and while you only get one turn per round, they each get two. So, you're defending six times and attacking three. And by "attacking" I mean healing your friends and hoping you don't die. Oh, they can heal too. And they do. Often. And they get two turns per round each, so they can heal twice in a round. Per character.
Let me tell ya, I certainly had fun.
Holy crap. Four hour boss battle. This game is turn-based, but there are no breaks in battle. There's a timer on moves.
Abyssion only took me half an hour. Sword Dancer 3 only took half an hour. Those were real-time. It was intense.
BUT FOUR HOURS. HOLY CRAP.
Awesome choice, specially in Baten kaitos, that was my favourite fight too, It lasted ages for me as well, I managed to weed it down to just Giacomo, I dealt with the others first, there moves where more annoying but awesome.
Abyssion on Mania was very hard. Same with Garr, Meredy Farah Oersted (party) and Seles from the Meltokio Coliseum. Took roughly 45 minutes to beat those three. I was proud that I never used All Divides though.
