It's not like I have a job or anything. My only obligation is school, and that's only for 8 hours during the week.

I probably played D2 for about a month straight. Maybe a month and a half. Not bad.

Just buy a PS2 when the PS3s come out. Heck, it may even go down to like $50-, assuming it's about 75 now.

Even so, I hate SRPGs. Disgaea is very low on my list of game choices for when I get that thing on christmas.

Consider that I also need:

Guilty Gear
Katamari
Tales of the Abyss
Devil May Cry bundle

and probably some other games like Shadow of the Colossus and Star Ocean 2. Maybe more RPGs to go along with that.

Also consider that I'd be getting this PS2 AFTER I own a Wii. So, play time on that will be slim at best.

I'm getting Katamari no matter what. It's not about just finishing the game. The game has replay value, and lots of it. I've already beaten it at a friend's house. That's not the point of Katamari at all. It's just an amazingly awesome game.

And I'll likely get the sequel as well.

It's not the "Tales of Phantasia" series. Just the "Tales" series. There's Phantasia, Eternia, Destiny, Symphonia, Legendia, etc.

Colossus got amazing reviews from everyone except my favorite reviewer, Moogy. That is what bothers me most, because Moogy has the best taste in games I've ever seen.

Now, since he and others agree that Devil May Cry 1 and 3 are both awesome and 2 was garbage, I figure I'll just get the $40 pack that has all three, including the Special Edition of DMC3.

SO2 is only about 30-40 hours for the main game. Same with SO3.

I have over 500 hours on both of them, though. 8)

Soon my PS2 RPG library will once more be complete... I have ordered TotA, XS3, and VP2.

Squeek, the PS2 is worth owning for all of its amazing RPGs alone. It is the best console ever for RPGs, trust me.

And yeah, SotC, although a pretty interesting game, failed to appeal to me. The gameplay is very repetitive and it's extremely short.

Both Katamaris are extremely short, but also excellent, full of awesome music and charm, and well worth playing.

And yeah, skip DMC2. You'll be glad you did.

I've recently discovered another incredibly awesome source of RPGs. One I would never have thought about before.

Gameboy Advance.

I was looking for a specific RPG that I've seen screenshots about. I had no idea what it was called, and I had no idea who the main character was.

I started to look through a list of all the RPGs for GBA and was just blown away. There were very, very many.

Turns out it was Summon Night 2: Swordcraft story. Awesome game.

Just aim straight for a Nintendo DS if you want to play the GBA rpg's. First, backwards compatible anyway; second, the DS is carrying on the legacy of good RPG titles so future portable releases will eventually come out that are awesome (like the remake of FF3, and I mean the actual Japanese FF3, making it the first release of said game in the US.)

The two GBA Summon Night games are both excellent, yeah. Very fun, Tales-style gameplay with decent enough stories (they're pretty funny, as expected of Atlus) and great graphics.

I just wish they would release the PS2 Summon Night titles over here. T_T They're godly SRPGs of doom. Come on, Atlus, the 4th one comes out soon!
