Re: 397 Nes Games (no download, legit)

I haven't played it since I was younger and played it on my actual NES, but basically, here's how the game starts:

AND NOW YOU START ON A QUEST! Okay go! =D

And I'm like....WTF DO I DO!? I had a guide for the game back in the day or something, and the stuff you have to do is really complicated and not explained at all, and you have to find secret weapons in secret areas that you'd NEVER BE ABLE TO FIND FOR YOURSELF CUZ THE GAME TELLS YOU NOTHING in order to beat the game, and you couldn't even pass a certain level (despite how much exp you got) until you went to some secret place in some secret area and talked to some special person after getting some special item, and to get to that secret place you have to get a boat by going to some secret town and getting a boat license or something hell if I can remember how to do it.

I mean, "ALRIGHT GUYS IT'S AN ADVENTURE GOGOGO" works for Bubble Bobble, but not for RPGs. I get the feeling most/all early RPGs were like this, though, so the game wasn't a huge failure at the time. -___-
So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.

Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O

Good thing it can be found anywhere and if you manage to find one that sells he probably won't be trying to sell for the highest price possible.

Sometimes you just want to play for 5 minutes but you don't want to have used up some memory just to have some games that you hardly play when a site has them waiting for you at anytime.

Yeah because finding Nes games and consoles and getting them is incredibly easy nowadays.

I have the latest version of Java and all of these games lag and sound crappier than they are supposed to. All crackly and ****.
        *shrugs*. Works perfect for me.

Wheres Waldo was crackly at parts for me. I think it's just the games that have the crappiness. You can't sync the sound like the nes/snes emulators. Frame skip, stuff like that. Btw, I'm fav'ing this.
That's cool Mario, but how come whenever you eat mushrooms, everything gets bigger but your dick?

Ebay is pretty easy now-a-days. I'm actually selling a Nintendo with gun, controller, and duckhunt/mario bros. That I found at a garage sale for $2.00. Oh yeah, that's right, they're easy as hell to find at garage sales too.

yeah, whatever, Funcoland is gone but the well hasn't dried up. If you have any interest at all in playing these games you can find them. But it is quite obvious that you don't and you shouldn't worry about it.

The java thing is perfect for those who don't know how to operate emulators/dont wanna waste space on their computer. But still, getting the emulator & roms easily over-ranks this. I myself have an SNES emulator (ZSNESW) that has about 100 or so roms to play with. But of course, I don't wanna turn this into a "Talk about ROMS" thread, so basically, there's my point of interest right there.

                    Um...

                    This can't be legit.

Super Mario Bros. Definitely is not public domain, and Nintendo definitely did not give permission to this site to host the game (especially since Nintendo is planning on milking NES games on the Wii).

I only gave this because it's nes.

I have a snes emulator, that's how I've played (and completed) most of the snes RPG's.

Hell, that's how I played Paper Mario (even though I own an N64, Paper Mario is hard to find for a reasonable price/condition).

Nes is just...nes. It doesn't deserve roms/emulators and space.

stfu hater everybody's doing illegal stuff stfu you're not legit hax0r

And Moogy makes an great point about Nintendo not making money so it doesn't matter anyway. However, Afro is right about it not being public domain and that they're gonna keep putting the same game out re-released for the newest gameboy or whatever or make it downloadable for a buck on the Wii. =\

But I agree with other people, too. I have every SNES game (found some torrent once and got them all at once. There are like, multiple versions of lots of them, and then other versions that are in all sorts of different languages. The folder containing them all is friggin 9.85 gigs. Almost 10 gigs of SNES games XD), but I'm not gonna waste further disk space getting every NES game. Lots of/Most good NES games have a ridiculously better SNES sequel anyway.

Crystalis is one big exception, though. EVERYBODY GO PLAY CRYSTALIS FOR NES RIGHT NOW IT IS AMAZING ZOMG
