No you arent right. X-Box is as good as it gets, both X-Boxes. They actually put different types of games on that console, not just retarted fantasy games, or 40 million mario sequals(sp?). Both X-Boxes offer all types of play, other consoles are limited.

If you think X-Box is all sports you're retarded. I never knew rts/rpg/fps-esque games were sports. Every console usually has the same amount of sports games since the dominant company is EA and they usually sell out to every available console of that time. Yes there is usually some smaller companies that make sports games probably specific to a console but who cares. There's honestly hundreds of games for every console that aren't sports.

Too many sequels on the PS2? So what, you say it like it's a bad thing. Instead of going out on a limb on some crazy idea, they stick with something they know works. That's not even the case in most games either. It's not up to Sony to make the games either, it's the companies that produce games that make the sequels and oh, once again they're usually multi-console released games. And if you're going to be ignorant and say, "O BUT PS2 HAS FF LAWL," then don't even bother; Nintendo had the rites to Squaresoft first and I do believe there's around seven or eight FF's for Nintendo consoles as of now (CC, not even counting I and II for the DS).

The Super Nintendo is basically the best console ever. It was there before everything else practically. But I haven't even touched a GameCube in years. I'm just appalled by the system. The only series from Nintendo I like today is Zelda. They've ruined Mario by giving him a dozen sequels with the same storyline; the best Mario was SMW and the previous Marios to that. Nintendo is really just a one trick Nintendog, trying to juice the last ounce of nutrience out of all their franchises.

I'm quite certain every console's price drops after it's been out over a year. If I recall the PS2 started around $500 here and a year or two later it was $300. What, do you think they'd raise the price after it's been out? Of course not. Everything costs more when it's new, it's not genius, it's business.

Please don't be a fan boy. Just because you know hardly anything about the things you talk about, doesn't make them right.

If Square had only stayed with Nintendo...argh. Just look at Super Mario RPG. Only thing that comes close are the Paper Mario games.

PS2 has made great games but too many god damn sequels.

If you truly liked the game, you'd want a sequel. People are still asking for a direct FFVII sequel, and Square keeps throwing bait like Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus in their face, which isn't helping. As much as I like Nintendo, you're being a biased fanboy.

The Xbox and Xbox 360 don't have RPGs. The only one is Oblivion but that's out for the PC too lol owned.

Quite honestly I think the Xbox sucks. There are hardly any games for it worth checking out. Let's see, minus games also out on the PC, there's Halo 2, JSRF, Ninja Gaiden Black, and I'm sure I'm missing maybe two others. The Xbox 360, on the other hand, is actually doing decent. I'll admit that it has a nice selection of games so far, even though a good chunk of them are FPS games or mindless violent games.

I think they're working on their RPG department. I'm not sure about the timeline, though. Two potentially great RPGs coming out are Enchanted Arms and Mass Effect, both of which I'll probably be getting.

I try to stay away from the console wars, but I tend to lean more toward the 360. Lately, however, Microsoft has been making me angry. The DLC is more of a scam than anything else, and now they're starting to release unfinished games (like GRAW) and charging extra for the last part that wasn't finished at release. This is just a starting trend, though. They might be able to turn it around if they want, and DLC could become a good thing. But it probably won't.

Nintendo has been making me mad, too. I get tired of their dumbed-down games (Super Mario Sunshine...?) that are meant for little kids. True, there is a market for them, but teenagers (and possibly those who wish they were) are most of the market currently. I do appreciate Nintendo's innovative controller, but it has the potential to be more annoying than new and exciting...We'll just have to see.

I have never owned a Sony system. Ever. So I wouldn't know what their trends are. From what I've seen, Sony tends to like RPGs a lot, and there are lots of sequels to them all. While this is great for those who want a continuous storyline, some people just want to finish a story and start a completely unrelated story after that. It's all a matter of preference.

As far as pricing goes, I really can't say my opinion. My 360 was a gift (along with most of the games I have), and I know I couldn't afford one otherwise. I'm pretty impressed with the Wii's pricing thus far, and I'll probably pick one up after the massive shortage (if there is one) at release. I'm going to stay away from the PS3, even though it does have the nice Blu-Ray player.

It's just a matter of preference and money. The ideal company will target as many people as possible while charging competitive prices.

PS2 is a pretty good system with lots of great games. Sequels aren't a bad thing. Unless the sequel is worse than the first one.The Gamecube is a great system with loads of games that are fun. Just 'cuz they're chilidish doesn't mean their bad. I constantly have fun playing my 7-year-old cousin in Super Mario Baseball. I would complain about the Mario sequels, but there isn't anything really wrong with them. The plost may be repetitive but the gameplay changes enough for it to be totally different. And who plays a Mario game for the plot? The Xbox just isn't appealing. There's only a few good games that i would really consider playing, and probably even less to consider buying. I don't care what the system can do if the games aren't always fun. Whereas with the Xbox360 it's a completely different story with good fun looking games, it'll probably be the system I'll buy after the Wii.

Almost all of those are ports. They either were for the PS2 or computer

Oh, I didn't realize that the console was what was making all the games. I thought it was game-developing companies.

But seriously, it's not Sony or the PS2's fault there are lots of sequels for the console, it's the fault of the companies who make games for the console. A huge massive amount of games is generally a good sign for a console, cuz it means it's easy to develop games for it and/or it's popular/good. *shrug*
