    Re: Replay Value

I think it's pretty much impossible to do on an xbox (which I had at that time). The game got too big and you could never load it. That's why the most I had ever done with a single character was 3/4 of the map explored + pretty much everything of worth.

      Re: Replay Value

Man, it has to be POSSIBLE.

I'm sure many GameFAQs (Morrowind forum) regulars have done it. I honestly don't get how people can spend hours per day for years on forums dedicated to one specific offline game, and like it. Some games like Super Smash Bros. Melee are understandable, I mean heck, my friends and I play that daily for about 3 hours.

But really, the people that stay there that long...it's amazing...

And on the PC, someone bound to cheat at it, so it's hard to tell who really did it.

I have the game on the Xbox myself, but I don't really like it. Especially compared to most people.

I play so much CSS, I could boot my computer up to Counterstrike Source and save time.

SSBM is an amazing game, plus FFT, and FF7 and um... Metroid Prime (ONE) and Halo Two online.

ive completed the main quests 22 times but i dont rush through the main quest right away. i usually collect items and free roam and explore other stuff the game has to offer besides the main quests.

Wow, I've played morrowind about 400 times.

Beaten, now that's a completely different story.

2500 hours in Socom 2-Which is a FPS, which is ridiculous for the genre but whatever.

                      Civ 4 many many times

                        FFR lol.

Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening (beaten on all difficulties, still play it), Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (100% and still play it), Resident Evil 4 (Finished that game at least 40 times).

I can see Guitar Hero is gonna last a while, too.

                          Re: Replay Value

114:25:43 in BF2, playing online. Even more if you count the time I've spent screwing around with bots, and the loads of time playing the demo before they recorded stats.

Prolly the most time ever would be on Maplestory. Doesn't Windows keep track of how often programs are opened somewhere? I'd like to see exactly how many hours I've put into MS, since the game itself doesn't keep track of it. =\

But anywho, I don't see how somebody can go through a game with a story more than once or twice. Most games I go through once and then basically stop playing them. Hell, I like screwing around playing GTA:SA on my file that is 92% done more than I like redoing all the missions, even though the 92% done file has basically no point to it. I dunno, for me it's kinda like watching a movie again. Some people will watch the same movie 100 times in a small period of time and still enjoy it just as much the 100th time, I would get bored with it. With games it's worse, cuz the 2nd playthrough is more like work and redoing stuff you've already done is boring to me. I like the feeling of accomplishment, and doing something I've already done doesn't accomplish anything for me. Now if a game had alternate storylines I might replay it and try to get the alternate stories/endings. I did the hard mode on Cavestory for that reason, but I wouldn't replay it again now, cuz I've done both ways.

But yeah, I think games with the most replay value are games with a rewards system or just a sheer huge number of things to do. I've played SA more than any other GTA game, and I'm at 92% on it, and I think it'd be cool to get 100% one day. I prolly won't ever do it, but I play around in it and try to accomplish more just because it'd be nice to 100% at least one of them. XD
So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.

Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O
