My hero (heroine?) would be Athena Asamiya from.. well, 'Athena', 'Psycho Soldier', and the 'King of Fighters' series.
I had 'Athena' for the ZX Spectrum as a kid, and (with the help of POKEs to cheat my way through), loved it totally. I think I was probably one of the very few people to like that game, considering the reviews of the NES version I've read. Then, many years later, I played a KOF game and saw the name 'Athena Asamiya' as a character, and was hit with a crazy sense of nostalgia. I never saw Psycho Solider in the arcade (I first played it via MAME), but that just furthered it all.Comment
