First Super Monkey Ball Adventure Screens

Here are some of the first screens from Super Monkey Ball Adventure, the newest iteration of the Monkey Ball franchise.

It's being done by a different studio, but still looks like it'll be fun.

So far this is slated for release on PS2 and GameCube, as well as PSP I believe. (although there's already a super monkey ball DS game under development I believe)

Yes!...wait what? Oh man, this looks to really be a toss-up. Looks to be, so far, like every other platformer but with harder controls.

Hmm, looks a lot different than the original Super Monkey Ball formula. Hopefully there is still a party mode.

        Monkey Dogfight... awsome

That second screenshot looks suspiciously similar to the recent Sonic games.

It smells very much like what Sonic Adventure did for the Sonic franchise.

              That's a good thing!

                ...

                Where are my puzzles.

Without them the game cannot succeed =(

It will have a standard puzzle mode, if it is my understanding...also, the adventure mode will have different balls you can get, like a wood ball which will go on water, and a ball that can get up walls....trust me, the puzzles will be abundant. Party games will be back. They've gone on record as saying 3 old ones will return, and there will be 3 others.

That's all I've got for now.

Only 6 party games? Bor-ing! Adventure mode better make up for that, a LOT.

Well, IGN reports that in addition to adventure mode (which will consist of 5 large worlds), there will be 6 party games and 50 'regular' stages.

To be honest I'm excited. If done right, with sections of worlds which act like stages, it could be lots of fun. Why an invisible ball is included still confuses me...There must be enemies, and stealth must play a role....I imagine this will be coming out fairly soon though....I'll for sure be buyin it.
