Kingdom Hearts 2 came out in Japan yesterday. I've been playing it (in Japanese, obviously), and it's very impressive so far. Amazing graphics, a great soundtrack, and much-improved gameplay. The voice acting is good, but I have no idea about the plot because it's all in Japanese. Oh well.

With something like this, nobody would care whether or not it was in English or not. We've been waiting YEARS for this.
Kinda like how I was willing to watch Advent Children raw, but the subbers put it out soon enough that it didn't matter.

The game's been out for 2 days, no one has written a walkthrough yet. I'm just guessing on what to do.Comment

It's not too hard to follow along in Japanese games. It'd be trickier if you had to actually make decisions that affect gameplay, but Kingdom Hearts is a pretty straightforward game. Not like one of those RPGs where you have to decide things during conversation and all that. 90% of conversation is by body language after all, so you can tell what's going on by how the characters act moreso than what they say. The only drawback is the lack of deep information regarding the game. It is that reason that I will wait for the American release of this game.
Also, Passion will grow on you. I like it a lot already. When you see it in videos and such, it just gets cooler and cooler. I also can't tell the lyrics yet, but it sure seems to make more sense than the lyrics used for Simple and Clean AKA Hikari.

I didn't think Passion was anything special the first time I heard it either, but it really did grow on me. Now I keep finding parts of it stuck in my head and a strong urge to hear it again. It should be interesting to hear it if/when she makes an English-language version for the American release like they did for the first one...
Dearly Beloved is always awesome in all forms, but I was kinda disappointed by the way they simplified the melody this time, taking out the little notes that come right before the main ones. You know... I don't really know music terms, but if you hear it you know what I'm talking about.
How do the rest of the BGMs seem, Moogy? On par with KH1?♪~
Always Happy! Smile! Hello!
I like delicious things
I shoot eye beams at the things I hate and make them explode! (Yay!)
So Happy! Smile! Hello! It's a picnic every day
There's lots of happiness in my pocket
So let's play forever~Comment
