Yea, it's definitely possible, they would just have to hardwire an emulater into the system ala the GBA or the PS2. Not hard at all.

They are constantly going to add more games that are backwards compatible, but the emulation software has to be different for each game. The processors for the 360 are drasticly different in terms of how the different values are stored, that each game has to be espcially tallored to meet the needs.

Well, not the best of news, but atleast I can still play amped, fable, ninja gaiden, fifa, halo 2 (because no one saw that coming), and some of the tony hawk games. Great news on the amped ninja gaiden and fifa for me because those are my most played games.
