Possible characters for SSB3

If many of these make it in it looks like the gameplay might be a little shallow. like hammer mario, what else could he do besides wack with his hammer? maybe have a high shot or something.

I think skull kid would be a pretty cool fighter, like if he had moves that damaged every player at once with magic or something. Dark magic rules. he would obviously stink with actual punch/kick type things though.

To be honest I don't dont give a shit what characters are on it as long as it comes out soon. OH yeah they should put sonic and tails in since the rumor of them in 2nd one drove me insane.....for a few seconds.

Before I looked at the list, I guessed that there would be:

1) A million pokèmon, and Ash Ketchum or someone from the TV show there too.
2) A whole bunch of characters from the English versions of FE (yay let's screw the first 6 because we noobs don't know they exist LOL)
3) BS characters that hardly even fit into a fighting game.

I was wrong about the FE characters, but for the rest boy was I right.

Out of this list, the only I'd even care to see in SSB3 would be...

1. Metaknight
2. Bowser Jr.
3. Tom Nook (lol seriously)
4. King Boo
5. Diddy Kong
6. Wario
7. Waluigi

Im voting for dark link or fierce link (probably dark link more cause he has an awesome ending theme), and james mccloud (mainly cause i love playing as fox and falco). Anyways, why the heck shouldnt they include sega characters!? I mean they are running out of additional characters as it is (they keep placing more of the same characters from one particular game, take fox and falco or mario and luigi for example, both pairs have like the exact same moves, so what they really should do is change up the attacks or stuff, all thats differents is who you see.) i definitely think they should put some of the sonic characters but only a few, like knuckles and shadow (those are my favorites).

Wait, are you ACTUALLY suggesting that Mario and Luigi play remotely similarly? You're insane. Fox and Falco are more similar, yes, but that doesn't mean that they play anything like each other. Fox is better in the air, Falco on the ground. I'm a Fox player and hate Falco for how different he is.

But anyway, they probably won't put Sonic in there because they legally can't (I'm guessing).

I would love to see Waluigi in this game.

The companies dedicated to Nintendo (I believe) are second-party.

SEGA and Sonic Team are neither. They are third-party. They won't be in a SSB game. If they're anywhere to be found in SSB3, I will do something really stupid and record a video of it. (FYI -- Hold me to this if they do appear. >>; )

Basically, you're more likely to see Joanna Dark in SSB3 than Sonic.

You're just as likely to see Joanna Dark in SSB3 as Sonic. They're both other properties, owned by Rare and Sega respectively. Nintendo has no rights to Rare's properties anymore, and Sega is third-party.

Definitely. I could see playing as Waluigi being a blast. However, Wario just wouldn't fit. He'd play like Bowser, minus anything positive about playing as him.

I still think that, even if they had a chance, the Sonic Team characters wouldn't fit in at all. To look around the screen and see names like Mario, Link, Samus, Fox, and so on.. and then to come across Sonic or whoever just wouldn't be right.
