    Gizmondo

Whoa... I was checking to see if some games dropped prices on ebgames and I discovered a link on Gizmondo...

    here's the official link

There were a lot of cool things I wanted to have when I grew up during the 70’s and 80’s. An LCD watch was certainly on of these things, although they were out of reach for most kids who only had their allowance to spend. A Sony TPS-L2, more known as the iconic Walkman launched ... I haven't really researched much about it... but it may sound promising

    RE: Gizmondo

well, alot of stuff beats EB, and alot of stuff doesn't. If you really want to find the ups and downs, look for how many games they sell yearly. After that, look at how many games EB sells yearly, and look at the income. You can do the math. I am far too lazy.

      RE: Gizmondo

Well... EB does have lower prices for the games I want (compared to Gamestop and Walmart...)

Anyway, about Gizmondo, it looks like they don't have very many fun games planned for it so I don't think it'll be any competition w/ NDS or PSP... the GPS system on Gizmondo might flop cuz I'm pretty sure if you wanted that, it'd be on your car or phone...

I saw Gizmondo some months ago when I was learning of the GP32 and Zodiac Tapwave (now out of business). The GP32 and Tapwave were just used as like handheld emulators. I figured the Gizmondo would follow in their footsteps with more powerful technology.

Well, the gizmondo is going to be around $400 but it'll have special stuff like a GPS system that will be used in games. One game, which is geared around urban gang warfare, will support the GPS system in like a turf-war-type way. You will be able to walk around with your buddies and play the game, then the GPS system will show other people playing the game and you can take your buddies over to that area and fight for turf. It's only one game's way of using the system but I think it's pretty damn neat.

It'll be interesting, but the price/unrecognizable company name/underground-ness of the system will definately put it under.

The hardware seems pretty topnotch, but the name "Gizmondo" is hideous, though.
