Thats awesome. Haha, I wish i had that many games.
I don't think its a waste at all ;o if its what he likes. People spend loads of money on their hobbies all the fucking time. Just because he likes video games doesn't make him a 'nerd' or a money waster. =/ Video games get such a bad image and are so associated with being a nerd haha.

I wasn't calling him a nerd, I'm just saying if you're going to collect something, it might as well be something that doesn't depreciate as fast as video games over time.
But whatever, I just don't see a point in buying every single Disney/Barbie/Barney/etc. game in existance for the sake of a collection.Comment

Depreciate? I'm assuming you're talking quality as in graphics. But if you're in to video games you're not exactly in to then because you like looking at them. There's a certain fun factor with each game and that usually flys over looks. Not to mention people have eyes for these things. Some people think SNES/NES/Genesis/etc games are still beautiful today.Originally posted by SaturosI wasn't calling him a nerd, I'm just saying if you're going to collect something, it might as well be something that doesn't depreciate as fast as video games over time.
And there are rare games that go for buttloads on ebay if you were talking about depreciation in value. Games such as Secret of Mana go for about $35 for just the cart only. I remember someone selling Final Fantasy III never opened for $200+.
P.S. on the topic at hand. Moogy showed me this a little over a month ago. I shit myself when I saw it.Comment

I just recently had my NES breakdown from overuse and I play SNES almost every day, still. It's still the best system out there right now, imo. Mainly for the RPG's.
When someone uses the word depreciate, it almost always refers to money, and while there are a few old games out there are growing in value, specifically FFVI, 99% of them are reduced to pennies within a couple years.
I guess the next time I have an opinion, I'll just choose not to voice it to avoid being shot down by people who read too deep into my comments for hidden meanings when they do not even know me.Comment

When I saw this a few months ago, all I could think was "Holy hell. That is awesome." However, having had time to let the collection sink in, I can better evaluate the room.
Though the collect is as impressive as ever, the room looks very uncomfortable. Where's the big screen TV? Where's are the cushions that make sitting for long periods of time comfortable? And though the wall painting is a very appropriate for the room, I personally dont like it...however I'm not a fan of brightly colored rooms and novelty.
Now, one consideration, is that the room is bare because it was removed for the pictures. And to that, I say, poor design. The furniture should not detract from the overall look and feel of the room.
However, the concept and collection are indeed impressive, and will remain so.Comment

Did you look at all the pictures? Because he has a Playstation 2 showcase and an Xbox showcase, but no Gamecube showcase. Albiet, he did have a crapload of Nintendo stuff. And that bastard has NightS. It's freakin' hard to find that game.Originally posted by ToshXI have more games, but not ALL NINTENDO, GEEZ. Nintendo probably made like 100K off of him rofl.Comment
